SierraInternational 56966P Hourmeter, Round

Simple to install. I drilled a two inch hole. The directions suggest 2-1/16??? the back of the unit is 2". Wired to the purple wire (ignition-ON) on a Crestliner 1900 SuperHawk and mounted next to the gear shift handle.

Works fine but there is a clicking ever few moments as it rolls time. It's really annoying. To be fair though it's typically only going to be clicking when the motor is running so you don't really hear it that often. But it's annoying when you do.

I installed this hour meter on my boat just forward of the throttle control. I cut a 2" hole instead of the 2 & 1/16 and the meter fit fine looks like a factory install. The meter is easy to read and connections are straight forward. Prior to installing I hooked it up to a 12V battery to bring the hours up to what was on my boat. I do maintenance according to hours and this meter makes that a breeze without the guessing. Also great for checking your hourly fuel burn.

The mounting plate would not fit over the back of the meter. I had to file it to fit. The nuts were a very tight tread-on to the screws too. I think the quality control of this product was really poor. It may turn out to be a great meter as others have said but it's a bitch to get mounted because of theses issues.

Our company, ETS Electrofishing, has been using these meters for over 20 years on its electronic fish capture equipment for federal and state fisheries. There has never been a failure out of the 154 units we have used. The pricing on Amazon's web site for this product is the best we've found.

Meter received in a well packed container and the dimensions were has stated. Installed on my boat so it will be a couple of months to see how it keeps time. I like the fact that it mounted by the use of two studs and nuts versa the push on clip mount system. This allows for a more secure fit. Good unit for the price.

The meter does what I want it to do. Drilled a 2" hole and installed easily, but I haven't hooked it up yet. I'm buying a new 4-stroke outboard motor for my pontoon boat and I will use it to keep track of the hours on the new motor for oil change and other maintenance. Price was good and free shipping from Amazon was nice too.

Installed in the dash of my new boat. 60 days later it fogged up and then quit working. Figured it was easier to just replace than hassle with warranty, if there was one more than the amazon 30 day. May have been a good meter, just not weather proof.

Great gauge , perfect size for my boat and it is a great unit to monitor the hours on my new 175 HP Evinrude outboard engine

Provided nuts didn't fit to fasten meter. I don't understand how that can happen unless they just don't care at all.

Assuming it was Sierra it would be a decent piece! But I found this to be very poorly made . Very fragile!I wouldn’t recommend it!
