TurtleBackBelt Case Made for Samsung Galaxy S5 Fits w/OB Defender or Bulky Cases, Black Vertical Holster Leather Pouch with Heavy Duty Rotating Ratcheting Belt Clip

My Samsung Galaxy S5 in an Otterbox Defender case is a perfect fit in this holster. It fits snugly, but is still easy to remove the phone. The Holster material is nice and stiff, which should provide good protection for the phone. The metal belt clip is sturdy, and I have had no issues with it coming off of my belt. The magnets on the flap likewise work well. I ride motorcycles and ATVs, so security and protection is important to me. It is always pleasant to find a well made product, which is made in the USA. If and when I manage to wear this holster out (or more likely I get a different phone) I will buy another Turtleback holster.Edit after 15 months of use: Several months ago I noticed that the case no longer latched into detent positions as it had previously. Honestly I didn't pay too much attention to it. A couple of days ago I looked closely at it and realized what the problem is. The clip slides onto a stud that is attached to a metal plate that is riveted to the phone case. The stud has broken loose from the metal plate and is turning in that plate. The detent action comes from the clip turning on the stud, which does not happen now. I don't know how long this will last before it breaks entirely. I don't want that to happen when I am on my motorcycle or ATV! I contacted Turtleback about the problem. They informed me that the warranty was 12 months, which is reasonable. Unfortunately, they could do nothing to help me, not even a discount on a new case. The problem developed within the 12 months, but I failed to take action then, so I do accept the blame for that. I like the case well enough that I have ordered a new one. You can bet that I will report any issue before the 12 month warranty expires! The case is showing signs of wear, but I have used it every day for 15 months. I find the failure of the mount to be unacceptable, and am disappointed that Turtleback refuses to help with something that should not have failed. I just wanted to make other buyers aware of this issue, and the 12 month warranty.

We purchased this for the first time in July of 2018. Yes, its held up great for daily heavy duty use until recently. Then the belt clip started coming loose from the case resulting in temporary loss of the phone having to search for it and fortunately finding it the 3 or 4 times the belt clip has come loose from the case. The only thing we can see is that the D-Shape component shows to be worn on the bottom side of the case allowing the case to come loose from the clip. Too bad, everything else about the case is in good and durable shape. So yes, it lasted for 14 months and we are ordering again because we were happy other than the durability issue on this one metal part and we do need a heavy duty case even though that is limited after a point. But for being a rather expensive case purchase, it should last longer in our opinion.

I read the reviews on this phone case before buying it. I have nothing but good to say about it! I have a Galaxy S5 and it fits perfectly. It is very well made; better than any other case I've had and I've had several over the years. It has great protection inside as well as outside. It has a metal belt hook that is very strong and very tight. 1 negative thing I read was the case would come off your belt. I suppose it would but you would really have to push it up awfully hard to get the hook to open up enough to come off your belt. You can't hardly spread it open with your hands it's so strong. I've never lost mine yet. If your setting in a tight place u can turn the case upside down and it comes right off while the hook still stays on your belt. The only negative I'd say would be the price. I almost didn't order it because it was more than twice the price as most other cases but u definitely get what you pay for. It will no doubt out last my phone or maybe even me.

Very good quality and construction; real leather that doesn't show wear. The flap has strong magnets; when you let go of the flap it closes itself firmly. The belt clip is all steel - no plastic parts; it isn't going to break easily. My only complaint is the belt clip - it is strong and won't slip off easily, but it doesn't actually grip your belt; it grips itself at the bottom end, well below your belt. That means that it slides back and forth easily and the edge of the clip scuffs your belt. The solution is to clip it inside your belt and inside your pants or skirt; that way it grips your clothes and won't slide back and forth.

I've owned this case for 5 months. The leather is very pretty and functional. The clip and swivel work remarkably well. The phone will not accidentally get unclipped from your belt or pants. The magnet flap is strong. The phone will not accidentally fall out, unless if you intentionally open the flap. In fact the magnet is so strong that you can magnetically adhere the phone and case to any metal surface, such as the side of your fridge, metal desk/cabinet/railing/etc... and it will stay firmly there. Now the big problem that I just noticed yesterday. The magnet is so strong that the screen is starting to form a white spot on the portion nearest to the location of the magnet on the flap. I keep my phone positioned with the screen facing towards the clip. So I would assume that the magnet is affecting the screen through the body of the phone. I really like the case, but think I'm going to have to start looking for a new case soon to minimize the damage to my screen.

I received the Turtleback holster 3 days earlier than promised. It has excellent quality, workmanship and materials, it fits my Galaxy S5 perfectly and it looks and feels classy. Removing the device is quick and easy, as the top of the phone is immediately accessible after opening the flap, and there is no pressure on the device. The belt bracket is metal, and will not break off like the many plastic brackets other holsters employ. There appears to be no way to accidentally dislodge the holster once installed on the belt, and the phone cannot fall out if the holster is turned upside down, because the double magnetic latch is very strong and closes by itself, without effort or attention. No more phone taking up my pockets and faster to pull it out when calls come in. Sheer perfection...

I don't want to praise the fact that is made in the USA but the moment I saw it, I could feel the quality. I went through few cheap holsters made overseas and I decided to bite the bullet and pay a higher price and I wasn't wrong. It accommodates very well my Galaxy S5 (including its protective cover) and the strong magnet on the flap is a compelling insurance against any accidents

One of my best purchases to date. This phone case is really well built with high quality materials. It has already outlasted two of my previous ones. I love the ability to remove it from my waist easily with one quick trust and a pull.
