Aini savoie Women's Thickened Down Jacket

I had been looking for a hooded jacket for more than a year and couldn't find any without fake fur on the hood so I was excited when I found this jacket on Amazon. I loved the look of the jacket but after reading the reviews about sizing problems, I was a little hesitant to order. Finally, I decided just to go for it, taking into consideration the many reviews that suggested ordering a size larger than you normally would. I figured that I could always return it for another size. It made me feel better knowing that others had returned a wrong size and had no trouble with the return process. I ordered my jacket in the Army Green color and it fits just right with enough room to be able to wear a sweater underneath if I want. I am 5 foot 3 inches and weight 138 pounds and wear a 36 size bra. Even if I were more busty, there would be plenty of room because of the built in snap closed gussets in the front of the jacket. I love the fact that it is long enough to cover my bottom. It is very warm and is light weight, the warmth coming from the down. It is very stylish and I have had so may compliments and queries as to where I found it. If I had anything negative to say about the jacket, it would be the main zipper. I wish it were a heavier zipper. It works fine but just feels a little flimsy considering the quality of the rest of the jacket. Also, I am used to having the zipper pull on the right side and this zipper pull is on the left. It will just take some getting used to. Our weather here in Eastern Washington State is about to get cold again and I'm sure glad I have my new jacket. I also was so impressed with the quickness of the shipping. I ordered it one day and it was on my porch the next evening! How do they do that?

Very warm, nice color, young style, sporty. Sleeves are narrow and long but roomy enough, and I don't have skinny arms. I gave it 4 stars because it is as described, although the definition of "light" down was not the same as mine.My error was in ordering something appealing in a youthful way, forgetting that it does not fit my present needs. My fashionista (and honest) friend gently reminded me that at my age and petite size, I need something with sleek styling that would best fit my (supposedly more sophisticated) lifestyle. If I skied or spent much of my life in a cold climate in the great outdoors it would be great. It just wouldn't work as well for this southern, petite, not so young gal. I appreciate the opportunity to take a closer look, and I appreciate your great service in the swift, easy return. Hurray for Prime! I know for someone out there it will be the perfect jacket.

I love the fit of this jacket (I am very small/short - "small" was perfect for me). It is also super warm and comfy. However, it is not holding up very well to regular wear. I have had it for only a couple months and it definitely has some problems:- stitching on the left side pocket has completely come apart. I can reach in and reach all the way through the bottom of the pocket and inside the jacket itself, like inside the padding parts of the jacket. On the outside of the pocket, stitching has ripped so the opening is a lot bigger than it should be. Things have fallen out when I sit down - important things like my car keys/wallet- stitching in general is not good. Tiny feathers are coming out all over the jacketThese issues are not a huge nuisance yet, and I still love the warmth of the jacket, but I can't see it lasting more than 1 season. For someone pickier, it might not even last that long. It was great for a week or two but not worth the money in the long run.

I love the look of this jacket on the model, but it does not look as cool and cute on me. Instead, it was extremely boxy and made me look kind of large. I guess I should stick to the slimmer cut puffy jackets with belts, but I wanted to try something new. The color is great and it is so warm and the inside of the hood is fuzzy and soft. It just did not look right on me. People said it ran small, so I got a large - which was huge. Then I got a medium sent to me (at no extra cost, good customer service) which was also very big on me. Customer service was great and sent me the medium while I was still in possession of the large, so that I could decide which one I wanted. When I decided that I did not want either, I mailed them back (shipping was a little pricey, but only to Austin, TX - you are not shipping it to China) and then I got my refund for the price of the coat.

I have received the jacket within 2 weeks. It is well made and fits as expected. I have ordered a Large and it fits me well across the shoulders (my shoulders are not narrow) and sleeve length is perfect (am 5'8' and wer size 2-4, depending on the brand). The design is unusual and interesting, which is why I have chosen it to begin with. However, it does not look attractive on me. I would say it is either for a really small framed ladies, like the model on the picture. Or for someone who has some extra curves and wouldn't mind hiding them. Perfect for expectant mothers - I can easily fit another two of me around the body and the jacket extends on teh sides and in the front. On me it lookes like I am wering two square pillows sewn together on the sides and makes me look bulkier than I am, kinda like a goose down cube.The jacket feels super warm.

First off - I took away a star because the coat did not come with as many pockets as other reviewers said, and I ended up sending it back.The coat itself was very well made and really, really warm. The sleeves were a bit short (I ordered a size up, and I think if it wasn't for a preference for extra long sleeves it would have worked fine). The hood was freaking awesome! I was really sad to return this item, but I'm not a purse-person, so I really need a lot of pockets in my winter coats.The customer service when I contacted the seller was fantastic. First they shipped me a different style to see if that would work (before they even got the first back), and when it didn't (short sleeves again) they made sure to refund the shipping cost back. Seriously great customer service.
