John McNamara taught me how to decorate cakes at Fedco in Escondido back in the 80's. I am so thankful that Amazon had some of his books for sale! He was an AMAZING, creative, skilled cake decorator...a true Gentleman!!!!! He could put ANYTHING you wanted on a cake...he would just pipe it out of frosting in minutes. Noah's ark, any animal, any scene. Love, Love LOVE his books!!!!

This is a vintage book from the beginning of cake decorating interest in North America. It's relevance today is the figure piping illustrations. If you though you couldn't draw, you can learn from the excellent illustrations. If you would like to decorate a cake without making a big investment in tools, this is the way to start. How to draw 3-dimensional people, animals, boats, etc. etc. etc. There is also a section on Kopykake which I think is a little passe and a bit of an investment. Even a skilled and practiced decorator could use the drawing techniques. Learn to draw a scuba diver, tropical fish, cruise ship, birds, animals etc. etc. etc.
