a climate change and global warming primer
A great first book to teach kids about global warming and the impacts it has on polar bears. The story is about a little girl and her father that take a boat ride instead of a dogsled ride this year, because the snow has already melted. 😢 They discover two baby polar bears, all alone. They talk about where the mother could be and the hardships polar bears face in the world today. While it discusses a serious topic, there is a happy ending! The best part about the book is that it teaches you about simple things you can do to help save the polar bears. My daughter remembered twice today to turn off the bathroom light, she was so excited to tell me she was doing her part to save the polar bears

Lovely story but paper quality isn’t great.
A lovely story with a good moral teaching children the importance of looking after our planet. A little disappointed with the quality of the paper and cover as I doubt it will be durable in my nursery class once it’s passed through their eager hands. Story is aimed at slightly older children than what I bought this book for (I would say age 6 upwards).

Lovely Story
I bought this book as part of a polar explorers topic for my year 1 class and they really enjoyed it. We were able to have a great discussion about global warming and the effects the environment has on polar animals.
