Weird Zipper
In order to zip this up you need to slightly raise the upper zipper from the bottom, feed in the zipper, lower it, then zip up. Sleeves keep coming out and the winter vest is cheaply attached but they are decent jackets for the money. It's my second Xelement. Last one lasted several years.

Good jacket all around. The zippers and buttons are low quality.
The inner zippers for the insulated vest broke within the first 10 minutes of use. I was able to make it work, but one side is unreliable in its zipping capacity. The inner buttons for the liner are also an issue, as one of them broke off after the first use. Everything still holds together pretty well, just have to be a little careful when removing or installing the insulated liner.

Good Airflow
This jacket has good airflow and can be worn in all elements due to the two liners that can be zipped inside. It is a great bang for the buck.

SIMPLY THE BEST!
I have plenty leather winter wear for bike rides but I had almost stopped riding during the day in the heat in the summer months, even went so far as to equip my bike with lights that gave me extra visibility at night, but I missed riding on warm summer days. I bought this jacket just for riding on hot summer days and from the moment I took the inner layers out which I was delighted included a thin rain layer and inner vest that by the way are a separate rain jacket. Once they were removed and I put the jacket on I could feel the advantage of the mesh outer construction, it actually felt cool on my skin standing there under a ceiling fan. The next day I waited until the weather started to heat up before I got my bike out (Harley Fatboy Low). Put the jacket on and took to the wind and all I can say is that "It was love at first ride". I've never been that comfortable on my bike. I personally choose the gray to once again increase my visibility on day and night rides and the piping trim adds yet another dimension to the attractiveness of the jacket. Lights, action, wind and it's on! I'd buy this jacket again in a minute but wait, I don't have to I got this baby and I'm out! Get one ASAP and catch up!

Nice jacket but weird zipper configuration
Jackets nice, but the front zipper configuration is weird. It has two zipper pulls and when you try to zip it up the bottom zipper will let one side go through. A bit of a pain. Would’ve been been better to have a normal zipper.

May be "mesh", but doesn't pass a lot of air.
The mesh jacket itself could be a nice touch. But:- There are so many pockets added to this "mesh" jacket that there isn't a lot of airflow on the torso. The arms breathe nicely.- The liners each require 2 zippers, several snaps, and maybe a couple buttons to attach. That's CRAZY! If they would have continued the zipper up and around the top, it could have been a single zipper, and snaps in the sleeves. Much better- Talking about fastening the sleeves, this is crazy. There are two snaps inside the sleeve at the middle of the forearm. When you try and add the liner, good luck figuring out which is which and not getting the sleeve twisted! They should have made one the button and the other the receiver so you knew which was which. And, being half way up the forearm, it's hard to reach to try and snap. AND, when you pull your arm out, you take the end of the liner's sleeve with you, getting it jammed in the outer mesh sleeve. Why not put the snaps AT THE END OF THE SLEEVE like every other jacket?- Made for "bigger" guys. To even try it on, I had to tighten down the "adjustment snaps" on the sleeves to their minimum position. I pulled the waist in. The shoulders were perfect. But, once it was adjusted to fit reasonably, there was so much extra fabric, it looked bunched up, and the elbow armor never sat correctly. I wouldn't want to take a fall with the armor out of place.

Super functional! details could be better
SO CLOSE!!! such a frustrating thing and found in so many products. The jacket itself is has a lot of great qualities. The shell and is comfy and the plates well placed, with the wind/water proof liner in it is great and keeps my body warm at any speed on a bike, With the thermal vest in, I've been riding with temps in the 40s and 3 digit speeds. The problem, is the little stuff, zippers are cheap and poorly attached, velcro patches were sewn on with weak stitching and started to pull apart almost immediately. The design, materials, and zippers make adding/removing the layers kind of a pain. For the price, I was not expecting top quality, and it is pretty much what I though I would be getting, but w ith a little more attention to detail it would be awesome!!! If you need something reasonably priced that will keep you warm this jacket will serve you well. If you want a long term solution, think about spending a little more.

Not again
If I had known this jacket would be from LeatherUp, I would not have bought it. I have had problems with sizing on shirts before. I bought a 4XL jacket and it barely fits without the two inner liners. I'm a big boy but not that big. I have yet to figure out how to zip the jacket. It does appear to be a durable jacket and semi comfortable without zipping.
