Wonderful instrument
Beautiful wood. Lovely tone. Not too heavy, nor too loud, because it's open-backed. I've just started learning the banjo ( at age 63) and this instrument is making it so easy. Highly recommended.

Excellent value intermediate-level instrument
I spent a little while vacillating over whether or not I should buy this banjo as I could find very little information about it online, but now that I have it I'm very pleased I did. It's a handsome, well-made instrument with a pleasant warm sound and a comfortable action right up the neck... not sure what more there is to say about it that!

Great open back banjo!
Great open back banjo. The sound is great and lovely to play. I've been playing for a number of years and have a resonator 5 string banjo but wanted an open back as well. I'd recommend for beginners and experienced players alike. It's great value for money and a good make.

Very nice for the money.
This banjo was very hard to fined at the time of purchase. I must have found the only online seller who had one in ready to go. The Banjo is very well put together and sounds very nice. It does resonate a little for an open back but I dampen this down with a tea towel in the back. Very pleased with this purchase.

Well made instrument
Gorgeous instrument and the Seller is great - kept me updated about supply issues during lockdown & sent the banjo as soon as it was back in stock.

Very pleased.
It’s always a bit of a risk buying something like this online but I was in a hurry. However I’m very pleased. It’s a good banjo (this is my third banjo in 40 years). It appears well-made with good quality materials. I was most worried about the action but it’s good. Easy playing with a nice sound and it holds the tuning well. Finally, it arrived quickly and In good condition.

Plays well, classic sound and looks great
Everything about it is well thought out and well put together. Nice finish with beautiful inlay and good quality fittings throughout. An instrument to take a pride in.

A lovely banjo
This is a lovely sounding banjo, and it looks great to. But when I asked Barnes and Mullins for advice on setting it up, they declined. Saying you should buy from a music shop
