Best knife for the money!
I used the kiwi style knives because i thought, well when it gets dull I'll just buy a new one. After breaking down skin on snapper for the past 5 years, I'm done. The blade always goes dull when I'm scoring the skin, and now it's a 3 minute run-around. Clean knife. Use coarse sharpening handle. Run it down the steel a gazillion times. So i decided to splurge and spend more than $7 on a kitchen knife and I love it!I got a sharpening stone from Amazon after recieving the knife, because the blade still had a rough edge on it. I tried to sharpen it, but ended up making the bevel uneven. I gave it to our knife guy, and he brought it back sharp as heck! I run it down the steel a couple times after using it a while and that edge is back. I also prefer the more aggressive tip, opposed to the santoku or the traditional french knife. Handle feels great in my hand, and there's plenty of finger clearance. The octagonal handle makes it easier to maneuver. Now I'm portioning snapper faster, and i don't have to worry about my knife going dull after the third fish.

Good knife
Came quick. Made in isreal? If i recall correctly. Comes with a leather sheath. Its stunningly beautiful, the handle is well weighted and is balanced for comfortable long term use. This blade does rust. I knew this buying it but it rusted pretty quick. Just a handfull of spots on one sides of the blade i left down on a cutting board after making a salad. And the best way to deal with small rust is to use a fine grade sandpaper. Try to avoid vinegar becuase theres no garentee it will get rid of all the rust and it makes the metal soft.It was not its sharpest out of the box. Just spend some time with it on a wetstone and its a nice knife. Just store it some place dry, either in a open knife holder or in its sheath after drying very well. I love the way this blade looks and cuts. P.S. I dont have sand paper so my blade is a bit rusted. I used warm soapy water and rubbed what i could off. Just a blade you need to be careful with. Great addition to my kitchen.

Don't bother.
Not that sharp. Balance is off. Not well made. Returned.

Good knife for the price.
I didn’t like how heavy the knife was.
