99% of the issues with this are user error!
So I don't normally write reviews, but I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews in which the complaints are things that can easily be remedied with a little research and testing. Can you just slap some batteries in there and get perfect coils instantly? Absolutely not! There are a ton of variables and tricks. Does your chuck spin crooked? Make sure your wires are centered! Is your Clapton wire bunching up? Check your tension on the widget and make sure your core wires are STRAIGHT or they'll get snagged in the Clapton tool! The biggest issue I had, and mind you, this is my 2nd day ever using a Daedalus of any sort is making sure the surface you use is flat, smooth and gunk free. I don't have a lot of available surface space in my house, and my dresser that I'm using is old and maybe not the best. Easy solution? As you'll see in the photos, I purchased a plastic mat at the craft store to put underneath. It made the World of difference! That widget seems to get caught up on the tiniest of imperfections. Also to keep in mind... fully extending the included straw helps a ton to keep your wires from tangling and snagging on things. And using both nuts to lock each other down will keep your tension from loosening mid wrap! There are a ton of helpful vids on YouTube, recommend checking them out!

This thing is awesome.
Wow, this is a brilliant little piece of kit. The addition of the gauge specific brass guides is game changing. Triples, quads, frames, easier than trying to convince the sled in my DNA box that battery wraps are not on the menu. If you already have a DIY drill and swivel bracket setup and really dialed in, the only thing you're really missing out on is the variable constant speed control on the AvidArtisan drill unit. You are also missing out on the AvidArtisan drill chuck, which is a bit of an awkward affair. Not keyed, so you kinda need to finnagle three things with two hands when torquing the chuck but it's workable. I haven't taken a look at the inner workings, but a DIYer might be able to figure out a chuck upgrade. The included swivels seem to work fairly well with the right tension on the core wires. There's one in the bracket and two fishing swivels included. Play with one or both, and if you have issues with the jig walking back and forth make sure the swivels are keeping up and not letting the back half of your cores twist all to hell while you're distracted watching the 40ga wrap come down. This will give the bullet inside the brass guide all kinds of tension forward right into that beautiful delicate insanely fragile 40ga wrap that you just shredded. Do not do that. Buy more expensive swivels from your preferred supplier of fishing wares if you have the coin.Tension on your wrap spool on the jig is key. Play with it, you'll get it. Once you have it, you shouldn't really have to mess with it too much. If problems with the wrap come up outta nowhere after a really nice clean section, look elsewhere for the cause first or it'll REALLY throw the whole _____ thing off.All the components work really well together. That's what makes this kit special. Instead of whatever drill, brackets, and what other bits and bobs you have this was all put together with the whole package in mind. Very portable as well. 18650s? If you're buying this you have 18650s. Everything else you need other than 18 megaunits of resistance wire is in the coil kit you already use to build your RDAs.Get one. Look up KZOR - SA Vaper on YouTube and watch his Daedalus videos. Dude is one with the Coil.

Take your time and read the instructions/watch tutorials
We love this thing. I know some people have not reviewed it well, but we have followed the instructions and taken our time and had nothing but success with it. The coils we have made have been great. They hold up well with heavy use and produce excellent flavor. Love it!

Watch a video tutorial to set the unit up, never pay for pre-made coils ever again!
I’ve been making my own Clapton coils for years now. I’ve tried every trick under the sun to not waste wire and make the coils as perfect as I can. Although the written instructions weren’t as clear, I watched a quick video to set it up and had three perfect fused Claptons within minutes. This unit will pay for itself in no time.

Maybe in the one with bad luck
Mine came damaged, doesn't work with the usb port. . . I'm really disappointed with this and the seller doesn't respond my emails.

Great product
Amazing product. I made my first fused claptons very quickly and easily. Must have if you want you're sick of wasting money on pre-made claptons or if you're just getting into vaping on RDAs.

It takes a lot of getting used to and good eye-hand coordination as well. If you get frustrated easily then this is not for you.

Awesome
Awesome little jig. Take some figuring out but once you get it well worth the money.
