I liked these so much I bought a second set so ...
I bought both the 300 AAC Blackout and 5.56 NATO versions so there is no chance of a mix up between mags.I even put one on the front of the scope of my 300 Blackout rifle so there is no doubt which mags go with which rifle.I liked these so much I bought a second set so I could properly mark all the rifles and mags. There are several different color combinations to choose from but I stayed with the red on black since they aren't obnoxious and yet the red stands out enough so its difficult to make a mistake. While most calipers will not chamber in the wrong rifle, the 300 Blackout round can be accidently chambered in a 5.56 rifle resulting in a ka-boom. Better to have everything well marked if you keep these 2 calipers on hand.

Good deal for the price
This makes the third set of these bands that I have now ordered. I have an AR pistol in 300 Blackout and use these bands on the Troy Battlemags I use exclusively for shooting 300 Blackout. Between the bands and the unique mags, I feel I have ensured a safe shooting experience. I want something to make the mags easy to distinguish from my 5.56mm magazines. The bands are a good combination of being visible and tactile indicators without being ugly or distrating. I haven't used them enough to comment on their durability but since I wount be taking them off and on repeatedly, I expect them to hold up well. I highly recommend these bands to anybody who owns ARs in both 300 Blackout and 5.56mm and wants to ensure they keep their ammunition and magazines safely marked.

Cheap insurance, for me anyway...
Works as advertised, and helps keep .300 BO mags from getting mixed with 5.56 mags. Bad things can happen if they are mixed. 300BO have bands, 5.56 do not. Easy identification at night or in the dark. Also put a band on the 300 BO rifle.

These have to potential to safe life, limb and equipment.
They do exactly what they are designed to do. Anyone who an AR pattern rifle in multiple chamberings should really consider purchasing some if these especially if you share magazine across them. They seem to be made well enough, I have had no issues when the edges tearing or getting cut while slipping them on. A somewhat tight fit insures they won't be sliding off while in the field. I highly suggest that anyone who has at least one .223 Rem. chambered AR and another AR chambered in 5.56 NATO, 300 AAC Blackout or both considers buying a set of these. They are inexpensive and could just save you from chambering the wrong caliber in your rifle. There's plenty of catastrophic failure videos from people accidentally chambering . 300 AAC Blackout in a 5.56 rifle.

Excellent and helpful
Excellent product. I came out with some system to keep my 300 BLK and 5.56 ammo which takes both types of ammo, and fits in both rifles. Way too easy to Make a very painful and expensive mistake,. Rather than mess with markers and paint, these bands are just awesome. Clear to see, fits great at the Botton of the mag. I just set them up on all my 300 BLK. I also ordered a few more for 6.8 SPC and 5.56 for my HK 5.56 MR556A1which is very picky with the mags it likes (i.e. HK steel mags, and MagPul v3). I liked it so much, I just order several more bands. It's an easy way to prevent a costly accident with similar looking calibers (e.g. 5.56 and 300 BLK) which can fit the same mag and go into both rifles. Good innovation! Thank you!!

Exactly as described.
This item is a silicone band that goes around the magazine to identify caliber. The quality and fit are good and the item does what it is designed for. Not a lot of features to include in a review. It is what it is and does what it should. Nice item and will be buying more for other calibers.

Perfect!
I received these bands this afternoon and am absolutely delighted with their quality. They help identify my 300BLK mags ATTRACTIVELY. The size is ideal - not large and intrusive but big enough to get one's attention and avoid a gun catastrophe. It adds a subtle but distinct touch. I ordered two four packs but received 9 bands, and I have to think that was not a mistake. It is not often that I am so impressed with a product, but I certainly am. Time will tell how they hold up, but for now, I have NO regrets.

Not bad, Not great
I had some from another seller a year or so ago, and wanted more. Found these and they looked the same. They are not. They don't appear to be the same quality (thinner) and the writing seems to be a little off center. They seem kind of expensive for printed thick rubber bands, but still, they do what they should, and I'm satisfied.
