Hydro Gear 53050 7" 10 Blade Fan

It's a fan blade. It works to cool the hydro transmission. It's light and very thin. But it works.

Fit perfectly on my hydro transmission.Look at the model & serial # stamped on your transmission(s) because there are different styles of fans.

Great product. The tabs were perfect.

There were a couple of locking bumps on the bottom of the fan that easily ground off for a perfect fit. I was lazy and drilled a hole in the deck on the battery side so I could loosen the nut holding the pulley and fan on. It also lets you easily see what's going on underneath. I loosened the bolts holding the motor on and lowered it just a bit so I could fit everything back on. I also noticed that a large plastic liquid laundry detergent jug makes a great battery box if you cut off the top. Fits really well and covers the hole I just drilled too. I guess I lost the fan blades when the belt came off, but I can see how easily a stick could get jammed up in there. On my land I do a lot of chopping wood and trimming rocks with my mower. I also highly recommend the blades "Set of 3, Made In USA Heavy Duty Replacement Blades For Cub Cadet 742-04053, 742-04053A, 942-04053, 942-04053A'. These bad boys are thicker than the originals and cut really well.Give the hardest job to the laziest guy and he'll find the easiest way to do it.

Cut off additional tabs with wire cutters. Perfect fit works like the original part.
