Gets the job done, but produces A LOT of slag. So much slag you'd think you're running 7014. Will do in a pinch, but I will definitely not be using these if I'm looking for 6010 and have other choices.

Not only did the product arrive without a single scratch nor even one crack on any rod. It was also dropped off about a day early! Rods burn just as they should! Couldn’t be happier with my purchase :)No I’m not a bot lol

Good quality American made welding rods if that isn't enough to purchase these rods nothing I can say will make you purchase them.

Just what i wanted

I was looking for a 6010 electrode that would work on my Hobart LX235 AC/DC welder using my style of whip and pause (a slightly longer arc at the whip) and finally found it! I've purchased several other top brand 6010 electrodes to find while some were better than others the arc would snuff out while laying a bead. These Forney's burn just as good as the others and I highly recommend trying them if you're having trouble as I did.

I am a professional welder with over 20 years in the business. I currently weld pipe for a living, and bought a box of Fourney 6010 rods to fiddle with around the house with, practice, etc. These rods are terrible. The flux coating is so hard that it extinguishes the arc as it burns back on the rod- A problem I have never encountered with Lincolns, Excelloys or any other brand of 6010 rods. I have found these useless to weld with, and have resorted to using them to hang spray-painted parts from to dry and to fish turds out of the toilet that would otherwise clog the drain on the way down.

These rods start easily and make a relatively smooth bead with a good profile and very little porosity. Work great in flat, horizontal, and uphill positions. Not quite as good in overhead, but may be better after some practice with them. I preferred Liquid Air rods when I was in the business, but these are inexpensive and perfectly good for home and hobby work.

Poor 6010rods maybee not 6010, maybee a bad batch i don't know, i use forney 6011, 7018, 7014 without issues but this 6010 rods keep extinguishing after 3-4 second of arc, impossible to keep an arc alive even with an 77volt OCV. First i tough it was the power source so switched to 6011 and issue solved, tried another brand of 6010 and everything is fine.

Rods were garbage the outer layer burns off way too fast, seems like they didn't apply a thick enough layer, requested to return and got immediate refund but never received the shipping label to return the product. Tried product in 2 different welders same result and amps were tried in a various range.
