Fakira Chanachur Medium Spicy Chanachur (200gm) - Set of 2

I first tasted Fakira Chanachur years back on my trip to Jamshedpur at their shop situated at Bishtupur. It is amazing that the quality and tastes is still the same.

Fakira's chanachur sells for Rs 220/kg in Jamshedpur. If we consider the shipping cost of Rs 150/kg for edible items, it should be somewhere in the range of Rs 370 to 400 per kg. The seller on Amazon is charging almost double the amount which is a little annoying, but the premium is for the uniqueness of the product. The few times that I have ordered and purchased, fresh items are provided in well packed double-sealed thick bags. The product has to be consumed soon, not stored beyond a couple of weeks although the pack says 30 days. Like all edible products, its best when fresh. Once opened, the product needs to be stored properly in a cool, dry place.

Hard to chew. Only pulses.

As some who has eaten at their shop for close to 20 years, I find the online price exorbitant. Now that I live in the other corner of the country, I don't seem to have a choice.They don't seem to be selling the spicy version online. Only mild spicy is available.

Price is very high in comparison to other.Quality is not good in comparison to cost

Quality is poor as compared to value of chanachur. Manufacturer is not maintaining their quality at all.

Add finely chopped onions and a squeeze of lemon - mix it and have a handful - it will hit you first before you get used to its spicy taste. Within a few minutes you would be asking for more. For those of us who grew up in Jamshedpur, it was a part of our lives - whether it was a general evening snack or an accompaniment with tea of spirits, Fakira Chanachur was great company and always a great friend.

Did not offer the taste with medium spice, for which Fakira Chanachoor was known. They should sell their full spicy material on line.
