Samsung HL-T6756W DLP TV Assembly with Original Bulb Inside

Per usual, time will tell whether this high pressure Hg projector bulb will last. I expect 2-3 years of limited use at a minimum of 5-6000 hours. We shall see. I have ordered cheaper units which only lasted about 5-6 months. Upon close inspection, it is apparent that the cheaper, Chinese knock-offs are manufactured with many short-cuts. I do have other newer flat screen TVs, but I love my 76" Samsung. It's a thin projector powered by a great TI DLP chip. It's dated, but still loaded with extras like many A/V I/O options, USB's, HDMIs, etc, and @ 1920 x 1080 looks great (when bulb is good...lol) with more functions than any of my other TVs, other than my Sony, so why should I chuck it? I did take off my rear panel and clean the screen, mirror and vacuum off all the dust to prevent any failures due to arcing from the HV lamp control circuitry, so all good. I will update with reliability info when it fails, or doesn't, in the future. I gave it only 4 stars currently because the box it came in was the shelf box from Phillips. This was NOT placed into another standard Amazon brown box with cushioning, and the white, Phillips off-the-shelf box was damaged, so I'm hoping the bulb wasn't also damaged and will still last to specs.

Worked great when I received it but 2 years later looks like I need a new bulb. I expected it to last longer - my picture is noticably darker and hard to see dark scenes.
