It works, but takes longer than the book recommends. The book says Banana chips take 1 to 2 days and its actually 3 to 5 depending on how super thin you make them.

Just used it once, will use it more often for this autum harvest season! Very easy to use, quiet! You need to read instrution also for treating fruit et al, which is very helpful!

Received my dehydrator today and it is not the right color.....I ordered black.

Does the job, was very low price. Note: you should manually rotate trays every 3 or 4 hours for best results since there is no fan,just a heating element at the bottom.

They don't seem to be useful for all the trays at once, but it is totally better than nothing.

Indicated that it was a gift and was told the packaging would be concealed. Nope, showed up at the doorstep in a box that said "FOOD DEHYDRATOR" on the outside in huge black letters. So that was the first problem since the person it was for was actually the one who picked it up off the porch a few days before Christmas. But then the instructions were basically non-existant and the dang thing has to run for about 48 hours to even work properly. It doesn't feel safe, it's the world's cheapest plastic, so running it nonstop for 2 days feels like a severe fire risk. We used it once and did end up with dried apple slices, but it took days to happen and constant supervision because the whole thing got so hot. We haven't used it again and now I wish I had saved that money and bought one from another company.

Bought this to replace identical model from Harbor Freight. Plates are exactly the same.We've had this about 1/2 year and its working just fine.
