Lovely tone, my favorite ocarina!
This has a lovely tone, is a little smaller than other 12 hole ocarinas I've tried which made it easier to find the holes. It's plastic, so it's nice and lightweight but doesn't feel cheap. The tone is nice, it does require precise breath control, more so than ceramic ones I've tried, but it was easy to get a feel for it. The high notes are pretty clear. They get a little breathy, but are MUCH clearer and less airy/breathy than the ceramic 12 hole ocarinas I've tried. I do wish it had a little hole for a strap, or came with a case, but those are very minor things. I strongly recommend this, it's by far my favorite 12 hole ocarina to play.

Sounds of Native American Lore
I thought it was made of wood. It doesn't matter, though. I'm learning to play, but it helps me get relaxed. It fits nicely in my hands, i like that if I drop it, it won't break. It was a great value and it looks very expensive. The insert is not easy. I recommend utube lessons to hold it right.

Super fun
I got this mostly as a joke as my dnd character uses one, but I've found the sound pleasantly surprising, it doesn't have as much of a toy sound quality as I thought it would.I'm excited to lean how to play :D

Perfect for Ren Faire!
My 13 year old begged for this to play at the Renaissance Faire. She figured out how to do it well in 4 days.

Good for beginners
While I'm no expert on ocarinas, or music in general for that matter, this seems like a good beginner's instrument. As stated in another review, it does sound very airy, but between the price and how durable it seems (feels like it has some heft too), it feels like a good choice for those who want to learn without getting a more expensive professional quality ocarina. Also, the wood grain pattern looks quite nice.

Completely met my expectations
This was purchased for a beginner musician. Music was included in the package which was a big help in learning how to play.

Poor quality of sound anywhere but the middle
Being clueless about ocarinas, I bought this as a beginner instrument. But already being a musician, I was immediately disappointed in the sound quality. There is a breathiness to the sound that is thin and completely unsatisfying, particularly when trying to reach the upper registers. As for the lower notes, they are practically impossible without added changes to your mouth shape or incredible effort. I upgraded within a few days to the Night plastic ocarina and am blown away by the difference. This instrument was a waste of money and time. Shell out another $20-30 and you will be much happier in the long run.

Not Good!
This ocarina is a disaster. I regret spending my money on it. It's very small and doesn't sound good at all. Dont waste your money!

Plástico....
La descripción es correcta, crei que era de madera, no parece ser de mala cálidad con respecto al precio.
