Garnet 15 pound box replacement filter tank gravel

I re-did my Culligan 6" water softener. Works like brand new. Don't forget gravel and special big opening funnel. It's easy to do if you have a small amount of mechanical know-how and a wrench. Fact, if you own a wrench, then you can do it.

This product is just as described and is beneficial in evenly distributing the water flow through the media in your softener. It does need to be rinsed several times before use to remove dust created during transport.

I bought this as a bed for the bottom of my water softener tank. Worked fine and the amount was perfect (9x48 tank). However it came pretty dirty and needed several rinses before they were clean enough to put in the tank. I think this could be considered a little nit-pickie on my part as I do think that extra step would be pretty costly and wind up being passed down to the customer. However it is something people should know, otherwise it could introduce un-necessary contaminants into your system... at the very least might not taste very well.

Fine gravel and mine was not dirty as others mentioned. Washed it because of reviews but didn't,t see anything come out. Enough to fill 5” at bottom of 9x48 tank to cover distribution tube screen

Used it in the re-bed of my water softener. Worked fine but ensure you rinse the product a couple of times before using.

The product was described as garnet gravel so I ordered it to use as the filter bed for a home water softener. It turns out the product description was incorrect, the gravel was not garnet and was not suitable for my application. I contacted the seller by email and described the situation. Within 2 hours I got an email reply in which the seller stated they had mistakenly listed the product as garnet gravel. They immediately shipped replacement product to me at no additional expense. The replacement product arrived in a few days in excellent condition as was exactly what I had originally intended to purchase. I fully recommend this seller, they did an outstanding job of correcting a problem.

I bought this to change the resin in my water softener. You put a few inches of gravel in the bottom before adding the resin. This was inexpensive and did the job.
