This may be the same quality as the Factory part
I used the HFP-382 as a replacement in my 2004 Mitsubishi outlander. The cost for a factory replacement part was just under $400. I wanted to replace the pump and fuel filter with good after market parts. My pump unit consist of pump, fuel filter, and pressure regulator. I took a chance on this pump. I ordered this pump from Amazon. I think this pump may be the same quality as the stock one I replaced. I installed this pump and it works fine and is quite. To install it I run the tank fuel level to near empty before removing the pump. It’s safest working on the car outdoors. Have a bucket or some container ready to put the removed unit in as the unit will be fuel soaked. First pull the fuel pump fuse under the hood and crank the engine to release the pressure then disconnect the battery neg. cable. I then vacuumed all dirt on top of the fuel pump unit before removing it from the tank. once clean remove the fuel line and have rag ready if there is still some pressure remove wire connectors to the fuel tank pump and removed the pump unit from the tank and cover the hole as to not contaminate fuel in tank. Once removed take a close look at the unit you may want to take pictures of the unit before disassembly and or use a marker to mark assembly parts position. Look carefully at your pump and the one you purchased they should look the same and have the inlets and outlets in the same place. It’s also important to see if the pick up is going to be the same depth into the tank as the old one with the inlet sock filter,so look at that closely before disassembly. If your unit has a fuel gauge sender unit attached to the pump assemble be careful to not bend or stress the arm as this can make your fuel gauge inaccurate. to be on the safe side you may want to have a spare fuel pump unit to tank o-ring or gasket before removing tank unit but, most are ok to reuse. Also do not replace the fuel pump without replacing fuel filter. Note:the sock pick up filter is a pre-filter not the main filter so check that out.The 2 wire connector that comes with the pump plugs into your new pump the bare wire ends is to be connected to the other end of your tank connector. So you must see cut the wires from your old pump wire harness and connect with wire connectors or better solder and use shrink tubing. It’s important the these connections are tight and no chance they can short each other as these will be in the fuel tank.If possible use all the mounting grommets and tubes the original pump had. After completing the pump replacement install it back into the tank and connect the fuel hose, wires and other connecting but, do not install unit cover plate until you inspect for leaks after starting vehicle.now reinstall fuse, connect battery cable. Now just turn key to on position 2-3 times without starting car this, will activate pump and pressure up fuel lines. Now start car and check for fuel leaks at fuel line to pump unit. before installing the tank cover plate, fill fuel tank at least 3/4 fuel and drive around and check for fuel leaks at at pump unit o- ring or gasket area.

Exact match for my 98 Honda Accord, strainer was small.
I have a 1998 Honda Accord EX V6. The reason I considered to change the fuel pump is because, at times, my car hesitates to start. Initially I suspected the starter. With the battery recently replaced with a brand new top of the line battery, I felt the starter is weak (17 year old car) and replaced it with a new starter (can't hurt as it has served its time). The hesitation returned which made me believe that the fuel pump is an issue - can't say for sure but I had my eye on replacing the pump at some point.I ordered the HFP-382 fuel pump as the Honda OEM pump is quite expensive. I received the pump in two days, thanks to Amazon Prime. The packaging itself was quite good, a typical prime big box with the actual product box well protected. The product box has everything shown in the picture and the seller has done a good job depicting what is in the package. The replacement is quite easy on this particular vehicle, check out the youtube video to get detailed instructions, bend the back seat to access the pump casing in the trunk, remove the 3 screws to access the pump casing which itself can be opened using eight 8mm bolts. Before starting the procedure, unplug the battery, open the gas cap and leave for 5 minutes. The OEM strainer is twice as large as the HFP strainer. The small rectangle strainer in the box is the one I ended up using, the OEM strainer is exactly twice as long, initially I thought I would use the existing strainer, however, it was quite Orange and the white new strainer really tempted me to use it for the cleanliness. I ended up using the new smaller strainer. The black tube which connects to the casing was longer than the OEM, so I used the existing OEM which looked brand new. Other than the strainer and the pump, I did not use anything else in the package, since this is a generic part, I assumed the seller supplied these other parts for various fitments.Once I installed everything on the car, I primed the pump (turning on the the key to ON position, without cranking up the car). I did this ten times and then started the car, everything worked as expected and the car started. Took it for a ride, felt that the car was quite smooth and more responsive, I think this is definitely a psychological feeling :-)I took the car for a test drive and everything was working smooth, time has to tell if there is any side effect because of the smaller strainer. Overall, I was very satisfied and everything was an exact fit for this car. I am giving it a 5 star even though the strainer was not an exact size, I think it is literally impossible to match all car models as there may be variances. I would be happy if the seller can leave a comment if there will be an issue in using a smaller strainer. Assuming that this pump works for a long time, I would buy this product and from this seller in a heartbeat.

Must have an understanding
The pump appears solid, however you are not given any assembly instructions in package. Also went to Quantum's site and their tech/install tab is rather sparse. You also must disconnect battery which is a huge safety concern as any spark around fuel will end up a bad day. I would recommend that you at least place that as a warning on you product review page you send with pump. Also you number not sure if it's toll free but it should be if you will be answering questions. Again product seems solid but instructions are zero, and should come with package. Also update your Tech options with more types of installs BMW, and Volvo is small.

Great value and customer service
It was exactly as advertised and fits my vehicle perfectly. The company has great customer service. They helped me with the installation after I contacted them and had a quick response to my questions. Most importantly, it was a great value--my local parts store wanted 3x the amount of what this cost me. I also love the lifetime warranty because I keep my cars forever.
