Rajpal Pocket English Hindi Dictionary

This is the 1st Hindi-English dictionary in our house. Though it is of pocket size, it contains most of the frequently used Hindi words with pronunciation and meaning in English in brief. For further meaning of English meaning can be obtained from regular English dictionaries. A must for students who want to learn Hindi as a second language. Minimal use of symbols with classification of words (Masculine or Feminine Nouns, Adj, Adv, Pron, etc.

Good for kids as handy pocket book dictionary.

Good for beginners. If u are looking for higher level vocab.. dn u always have an option in amazon..I am using it 4 a middle school girl n till now it has served a gud purpose.

The dictionary is immensely useful and a must for beginners. Bought it for my child. Though pretty concise in size, it seems to have all the words a beginner would need to know.

So I concceed that this was my fault,I thought it would translate English / Hindi words back and forth; but it's really intended for someone who reads Hindi to make English words.*could still be useful for my trip, but not actually what I'd thought it was.Perfectly good condition / and quality of product so nothing to hold against them.

This is great if you know exactly what you're getting, which is precisely what the title indicates (my bad for not reading more closely).This ONLY has Hindi to English, and not the other way around. If you want a dictionary that goes both ways, then you'll need something else. If not, this is fantastic.

In teaching Hindi to those who only know English, I need a dictionary of English to Romanized Hindi.Instead I received "The Rajpal Pocket Hindi English Dictionary" isbn 81-7028-501-1I will be glad to return this dictionary.Sincerely,Victor M. Taj

Good dictionary, but much too small. Hadn't noticed that it's actually a "pocket" edition.
