Marutham cold pressed groundnut oil is extracted from the seeds using old traditional method called chekku (Cold pressed using wooden extracter). The machine is made up on a wood (vaagai or sounth indian wallnut) which is having the capability of removing toxic from any seeds. Also the oils is not heated during the extraction process. So the oil there is no loss of nutirion and flavour.

Same problem with all cold pressed oils, not easy to figure out if it is pure.
The nutty aroma of the groundnut when heated lasts for only 2-3 seconds, which is similar to normal groundnut oil. It is hard to scientifically verify if it is indeed pure cold pressed unfiltered oil. To be fair, it is the same problem with most of the other more expensive brands sold here and anywhere else, it is tough to figure out if it is not mixed with heat pressed, chemically processed oil. I remember pure cold pressed unrefined oil giving nutty flavour for longer time when heated.

We started to buy with our own doubts. But after buying we were more than satisfied. Now after three months we've started buying this on a monthly basis... Good to health and natural.
