I've always enjoyed the mix albums that Dimitri From Paris puts out, but I have to admit that I was not a real authority on the classic Salsoul sound. Sure, I remember a few of those disco oldies, but we're only talking about a handful of songs. What I like about this collection is that DFP doesn't rehash only the hits, but offers up some lesser known (at least to my ears) songs from the Salsoul vaults. What more can you say; it moves, it grooves, and even soothes.Overall, I thought Disc 1 was much better than Disc 2, not only for what I thought were a better selection of songs, but also because Disc 2 contained two tracks (the mixes of songs b y Skyy and Inner Life) that I really didn't care for. But, I didn't think those couple of substandard moments was reason to lower my rating. This is still a truly wonderful collection of dance music, and generous with the minutes too.I'm sure everyone will have their favorite tracks, but a few ear openers for me were "My Love Is Free" by Double Exposure, "Sun After the Rain" by the Salsoul Orchestra, and "Here's To You" by Skyy. Even the song by Charo was pretty darn good!

Dimitri,After all these years you are still my favorite DJ! There is not a bad track on this disc. It's sick! I liked the first Salsoul mix OK, but this one is so much more polished. We keep searching around waiting for you to drop another mix but we haven't heard anything in a while. We would take more of your original work as well. Excellent 2CD compiled by Dimitri from Paris with CD1 containing 17 tracks in a continious mastermix and CD2 containing 10 Dimitri edits of great Salsoul tracks. If you like the funk, soul & disco from this legendary label, you love this release and it's worth every penny !
