Just yesterday made one of those Cheesecakes for the family and it came out high and great tasting!
Not always follow a recipe 100 %, may add or delete an ingredient, like a bit less sugar. This book is a great teacher and I am always willing and eager to learn ever more!Love this book and already looking for my next creation! This is the newest version of making cheesecakes, even baked it in my simple toaster oven, yes in a water bath.Works great!

The best Cheese Cake book you can buy, easy to follow with great results.
This is the most amazing cheeses cake book available. I've had the book for about four years now and have made at least 8 of the different recipes. I have made several many times over again and again. I just purchased one for my daughter so that I wouldn't need to remember to take it with me when I visit her. I don't understand the complaints about having to look at the front of the book for the crust and then having to go back to look at the cheese cake recipe. You bake the crust then you bake the cheese cake on top of the crust once the crust is baked and cooled. Every cake is creamy and delicious, the recipes are easy to follow and a beginner should be successful with this book. I guess some people can't follow directions and most likely can't boil water. If you want a quick and dirty recipe buy a jello cheese cake because this book is written for the person who has a palette that desires a real cheese cake and is willing to put the time and effort to follow the directions and produce a great cheese cake. If you like to cook then you will love this book. As with any desert that is made from scratch it requires more work than opening a box and adding a few eggs, oil and or oil.

Great, perfect for cheesecake lovers
After traveling to New York City I wanted to continue to eat these cheesecakes at home. I have made most of these cheesecakes and I get complements every time. There is a great trouble shooting section if your cheesecakes do not turn out as good as you would like. I was shocked at all the technical things I learned from this, not only how to make it look amazing, but also how to cut and serve so that the pieces look perfect every time!

Great recipes...
I bought this book because I had borrowed it from a friend and decided I wanted it too...but upon receiving it, the binding was different than her version (both versions were exactly the same in all publishing information with the exception that hers was made in Singapore, mine in the USA). The binding on her book seems to be done better to where it lays flat more easily (you could even see the stitches of the binding in between pages)...whereas mine looks like it is all glued and the pages constantly pop up on you when you try to lay it open flat (which is annoying when you're trying to make the recipes from it). Also, the pages of her book felt thicker...and, though they looked exactly the same and had the same number of pages, when I laid them side by side, hers was noticeably taller.Overall, the recipes are to DIE for...and I have no qualms with how quickly Amazon delivered it...I just wish that the publisher wouldn't have changed the binding and way the book was constructed somewhere along the way...as seems to be the case. :/

decent recipe, bad measurements
While it was great to have a cheesecake book, and there is some great advice and recipes, it's pulled down by the fact nothing is metric. And, in baking, metric is the best way to measure to make sure you succeed. So having to translate an the recipes out of random American measurements to professional metric is a pain.
