Semi-opaque, silky feel synthetic paper
You could easily copy a design by putting a sheet of Yupo paper on top and it works well on the laptop too (though you will need to be ever so gentle as not to damage your display - use at own risk!) This synthetic paper is best for use with alcohol inks (try the Pinata set! Takes a bit of time to arrive from the USA but it is gorgeous.) I have also used it to stick on a card after I drew and coloured an image on it using alcohol and watercolour markers. I am going to be using it to cover the stained pages in my sketchbook (they get stained by alcohol markers). I also think it would help those who struggle with calligraphy as the surface is so smooth and you can practice as much as you like (using a guide sheet underneath) and when done, erase it all with an alcohol tissue and start again. The picture was painted using alcohol inks on Yupo paper.

missing pages
Arrived today and on first impression it is rather impressive, very smooth/plastic-ee and works nicely with alcohol inks. However I noticed some of the pages sliding out and upon counting noticed I only have 13 pages, when it should be 25. Some of the pages are still attached to the pad. I'll try and contact the seller but seems amazon is glitchy with contacts. Would be 5 stars but missing pages is rather a downer. Not sure I could return it either as I foolishly used one of the pages to test.

You won’t believe the results when using this paper
I’d never heard of this paper before but it was advertised for mixed media and alcohol paints etc. Wow! The paints are bright but this paper lifts them to a new level. The colours are so vivid they reflect like glass.

wrong for me!
This paper may well be suitable for some mediums, but not for what I use. I work with markers, and the shiny, coated surface of the paper is not suitable (even though it says 'suitable for alcohol based inks) for them. Because of the coated surface, the ink is not absorbed, and remains on the surface. So much so you can wipe it clean off. Marker inks won't blend well either. So big disappointment. As I say, might be OK for paints, acrylics etc, but fellow marker users...avoid!!! bTW...anybody who wants my pad, can have it!! Just pay the postage, and i'll send it to you. Only one sheet used. Somebody might as well use it!! reply to this review if interested

Excellent for alcohol ink art
We used this for a pre-covid university art night, and the rest of the students and I spent a few hours making alcohol ink art creations that ended up being absolutely beautiful. It was one of the better events we had all year and became our event with the highest turn out. No matter the stylistic choices of the students, this synthetic paper held up. I was impressed by the quality and forgiveness of the medium. I wish it hadn't been quite so expensive, but the marbling the paper allows for and the intricate, multi-level designs are well worth the price.
