Let Me Hold You Longer

Loved this book! It’s hard to get through the book with out tears. Pulls on the mama’s heartstrings. Bought 1 for each of my kids for their graduation someday.

I gave this to new mothers and grandmothers I know to help them savor every moment with their child!

I would give this book a ten. Both my boys just left to college. Just divorced. I was always worried about their first step, first word, first bike etc…. But really I should of been worried about the last time they sat on my lap, hugged me etc. what upsets me the most is I wrote a heart felt note to go with the book as I gifted it to my niece. She is just starting to adopted a baby My note didn’t make it with the book. Still upset over my note not making it to her. I have tried to find out how to find the note but no one has helped. Great book though.

We were recommended this book for my mother in law to read to our newborn son. The goal is always to make her cry and bonus, this book even made my father in law tear up and he's a big tough dude. Anyone who has grown up kids will probably cry reading this and it makes me appreciate all the firsts I'm getting right now because I won't know when the lasts will be.

I have given this book as a gift so many times, the most recent being to several other Mom’s of graduating Seniors this year. I was able to read and share this book with all of the graduates and parents at our Baccalaureate this year. I, obviously, didn’t quite make it through the book without getting emotional but that is truly an almost impossible task. However, I loved being able to introduce Karen Kingsbury to so many new people! So many people asked me afterwards who the author was and I was able to share my love of ALL of her books!!!!!

This is a sweet book that is more of a reminder for parents to enjoy each moment than it is a story for kids but my 3 year old still enjoys me reading it to her.

We absolutely loved this book! The illustrations are beautiful and the story is so sweet. It's the perfect bedtime story for our little ones.

This book was given to me when my oldest graduation high school and I have carried on the giving.

I was gifted this at my baby shower, my daughter is 3 and I still ha e yet to successfully get halfway through without bawling. Such a beautiful story. I am now purchasing for every baby shower I go to.

I couldn’t continue reading as memories kept flowing of my first born and preparing for our second. Very nice book for a gift or for your self!

I loved this book so much I bought three copies. I wanted one for myself to remind me of all the lasts with my own children. I also bought a copy for a friend who is soon going to have her first child. The final copy I purchased for my sister-in-law whose youngest child will be graduating from secondary school this June and heading to university in the fall. So bitter-sweet, watching our children grow up and away. 😂

I ordered this for Christmas for our soon to be married daughter as a sentimental gift.Although this book is written more with the thought of someone going off to college italso worked for this occasion. After our daughter opened this gift, she read it aloud tothe family and there was not a dry eye in the house....it touched all of our hearts...andwe will now treasure every precious "last" until she weds. Thank you Karen for anothertouching story.
