Hiya Hiya Knit Saver Cable - 24/26" small

Big fan of Hiya Hiya here. I bought these to have as another cable so I can work on multiple projects at a time. As usual, another quality item from Hiya Hiya! The only complaint I have is what others have also noted on Hiya cable joins, that they can and do unravel when working in the round. Knowing this has not stopped me though. I just keep an eye on it and every so often just check the cable. I think this is more of a problem with folks who tend to be tight knitters or twist more while knitting. If you are a lose knitter and perhaps use the throwing method or American style it may not be as much of a problem. Just check it every so often...you can use a life-line with these cables so if you do that then no worries. I have never had a problem or lost my work. I just check every so many rows and if they need tightening I just tighten them a bit. No big deal. I will also point out that this particular set rarely loosens up on me at all. I have several cables that came with my needles and this extra set I ordered is better than those as far as this issue is concerned.EDITED TO ADD: I'm back to order another one of these as I cannot seem to have enough for projects. I also wanted to recommend you look for a "key" like some other kits use (check out Knit Picks brands). They use a metal "key" to tighten their cables and I have found that using it in conjunction with the blue rubber gripper will tighten these enough that you do not have any trouble with the join loosening. I have begun to do this and have not had a problem at all whatsoever with my joins getting loose or needing to be tightened during my project. So, get one of those and use it to help tighten up the cable and needle. I'm a tight knitter and twist as I go so this was the solution I found to solve an otherwise annoying problem.

I like the blue cord -- it's easier to see than the clear ones. I'm not sure how long this will last. I knit a lot of sweaters, and the prior interchangeable cables from this brand did not last well with the inherently heavier yarn weight of a sweater. I can only hope this better quality.

I've been using the Hiya Hiya interchangeable needle set for a while and they are very good. The cords are flexible and don't unscrew while using them and I can order additional cords by length which allows me to work multiple projects.

I was looking for needles with sharper points & HiyaHiya was a name that kept popping up. And, for good reason. I really love these needles. I just ordered 1 size fixed and another interchangeable for a "test drive." I am strongly considering investing in a set of Sharp interchangeable. I am still a proud owner of KnitPicks Harmony interchangeables, but feel like a cheatin' lover with these HiyaHiyas.

i love these cables! i have multiples just in case and some times i have projects on all of them. this is a super brand.

flexible cord and smooth join. I bought these specifically for the hole to thread a dental floss lifeline for lace.

I love my Hiya Hiya interchangeable, and wax looking for a new cable. I actually like this one better than the original as it is more flexible.
