Took awhile to learn how to do this correctly, but now it's a time-saver. No bagging leaves! Free mulch!
The first time I used the muncher, it took me awhile to get used to it. Eventually I learned how to avoid picking up large sticks and rocks by keeping it an inch off the top of the leaves. I tried it without the Leaf Pro because I thought it would be faster WRONG. The small bag attached to the muncher fills up quickly and it gets heavy on your shoulder. A few times I forgot to zip up the bag and blew mulch everywhere, including in my eyes. Today I have lots of leaves to mulch, so I attached the leaf pro to a 46 gallon trash can with the lid swung open. Wow! This worked much better. The leaf pro was easy to attach to both the muncher and the trash can. They only thing you have to watch out for is keeping the electric cord away from the wheels of the trash can. The first time I checked when I thought the trash can would be full, it was only half full. So I kept going. When it was full the leaf pro bag comes right off the trash can, and I was able to dump the huge pile of mulch in my garden to spread around with a mini rake. This is much better than raking leaves and putting them in leaf bags! Plus it's great for my garden soil. Just AVOID large sticks and stones. A couple of times it jammed, but the Worx was easy to open and dislodge the stick that was stuck in the blade. It helps to go around the yard and pick up the sticks first before using Worx. Watch out for big piles of wet leaves. I worked around those and let them dry out for a few days. I'm glad I purchased this.

which was still very good. ) Unlike other reviewers
Arrived in new/excellent condition and on time. Set up was minimal. I live in south Texas and have two types of leaves to remove. First are large leaves from a Red Oak. The Vacuum/Mulcher worked as advertised--sucking up the leaves and then mulching them. (It is hard to guesstimate the compression ration achieved by the mulched, but for these large leaves it was far less than the 16:1 advertised in my opinion. I would guess about 4-8:1, which was still very good.) Unlike other reviewers, I had no problem vacuuming the small twigs that accompanied these leaves-I had no instances of machine failure by twigs jamming in the mulching blades. I have used the vacuum/mulcher mechanism twice--about 12 hours of total work (including the raking), and the unit stopped working only once. That was due to leaves clogging the vacuum tube; however the mulching blade continued to turn. The other type of leaves I will have to deal with are small, sturdy Live Oak leaves and they start falling here in the Spring. Some have started falling and accumulating along the sidewalk by my house. I was surprised at how well these small leaves were sucked up by the vacuum and mulched. A much faster process than that experienced during vacuuming the Red Oak leaves. Also I purchased the stretchable cover and tube combination to allow me to send the mulched leaves into a city-supplied bin for recycling organic products. The flexible cover perfectly fits this bin, making the process of removing the mulched leaves a breeze. I am a happy camper. BTW, I would have given this product a 5-Star rating if it would vacuum the Red Oak leaves faster. It is not a fast process, but it saves me having to repeatedly bend over and place the leaves into multiple (up to 16) 39-gallon plastic leaf bags.

My husband loves the ease of use. When he got something stuck in it, there was no problem at all clearing it.
