Good quality. High value for the price
Good quality. High value for the price. Stronger, thicker material than what you find in the boxed repair kits at your local marine store. I have no concern about these holding up on my canvas. Even though the shipping was free they did not come as fast as prime and the delivery estimate was not accurate. I would purchase again.

Perfect marine snaps
I purchased these for a modification I am making to my boat cover. These stainless steel snaps were the proper size to match my standard cover and will work perfectly for my project. They pair perfectly with these backs and the quantity was the same.http://amzn.to/2uPpt68I am planning to connect the fronts to the backs using a rivet instead of the included posts, so will not be using a typical press. Instead I am using a heavy duty pop riveter with stainless steel rivets to sandwich the material between the front and back allowing the material to be snapped between the existing snaps on the cover, creating a skirt for the boat which will provide additional coverage.I am using this riveterhttp://amzn.to/2f3cNTpI have not found a proper rivet yet as the 1/8 are too small and the 3/16 too large.I would happily purchase both again if needed.

Stainless as advertized
They are stainless. My cheap crimping tool worked OK, but a better quality one might have longer lasting results. My material was a thick strap -- hard to compress. Still worked ok.

These are just what I have been looking for. They are what I would call your industry "standard" size snaps. I purchased them for replacing damaged snaps in my 2007 OEM Lund bow cover, my 1983 Sylvan cockpit clear vinyl side curtains and a couple old fold down seat wind straps whose snaps had rusted. I pre-tested these new ones with a magnet to insure they are higher grade stainless steel (not all stainless steel can pass that test). Exact fit and installation using a normal cheapo aluminum snap drift/die worked fine, (not a single one needed to be drilled out again for a second try).

I think the material used for the button is to thin. I pressed 10 snaps using the Hoover Press N Snap tool and manually set the snap and button with the rivet setting tool and hammer and could not get away from indenting the head of the Button. See Picture. In the photo you will notice at least one snap with no indication marks which was from my existing stock of fasteners purchased from ACE Hardware. I am returning the balance of unused snap parts for refund.

Very thin and cheap.
These are very thin material. When the caps are pressed, they reveal an impression in each cap, no matter how gently I pressed each one. Careful too, because the caps are not very convex. They're almost flat, and so don't fit well in some tool dies. Looks also like the snap ring in each one is brass colored. MADE IN CHINA. Two stars for their failure to advertise these distinctions in the product.

Good Stuff!
They're great but I need a stronger tool to crimp them since the Stainless is much harder than the Brass plated ones. They should include that in the product info.

Excellent customer service.
The snaps were good quality stainless steel. And, Northwest Tarp and Canvass promptly sent them out. And, when there was a problem with the delivery (that was not the fault of Northwest Tarp and Canvass), they went out of their way to see that I got my snaps. Although my purchase was relatively small, they treated as if my satisfaction was important.
