28g - Kanthal A1 28 Gauge Resistance Wire - 28 AWG - 0.32mm 100ft Roll

The picture makes the product look big but its really just a tiny roll, which isn't bad, just something i noticed when it arrived. This coil is very springy, so make sure the wire is secured by something when using (there are slits on the side to hold the wire) because if you don't the wire will unroll very quickly. Also try for to have free shipping, the cost for shipping, at least for me, was more than the actual product. Other than that i would recommend buying this for anyone into rebuildable atomizers.

I love having Kanthal on the Roll ... Going to the vape store to get it by the foot is crazy for the price they charge. Have been vaping using this Kanthal for a while now and I have no issues to report ..

I use 28 gauge religiously when I build my own coils for my mechanical mod tanks. 28 gauge makes for great dual coil setups in the sub-ohm resistance range. Heats up quick but doesn't scorch wicks like finer gauges do. 28 gauge is just thick enough to be very sturdy, so you can change your wicks out without bending or damaging your coils. 30 gauge was too flimsy for me, and 26 is decent but it takes a lot of battery power to heat it up.This is a great value and should last me at least a year of coil building.

This Kanthal works well for lower resistance coils needed. Using a 20 gauge needle with 12 turns, I can exceed 1.6 ohms by a fraction, which is the minimum amount for my Vision Spinner mod. However, a 12 turn micro-coil does not fit well in Kanger coil heads. It will barely fit, but a 30 gauge 12 turn micro coil fits better.If you use this wire for a mod that can fire around 1 ohm or less, this is the wire for you. If you need more than 1.6 ohms, I'd suggest the 30 gauge wire with 8 ohms per foot.

Solid product. The guage was a bit wider than I expected, but this was also the first time I'd made a coil purchase. It's a learning process and you have to learn what works best for you. I've built some decent coils with this, but I would like to try a thinner gauge after experiencing this one. In part, because I also rebuild the coils for my Protank2 and Smoktech, so thinner would allow it to fit better.

Would definitely buy again ... but this stuff is lasting me so long that it'll probably be another year before I need more!One suggestion to the mfg: include another cut in the plastic holder to hold the wire end in place and keep the whole from unwrapping.And, to people just starting out: don't forget to pre-burn before you add cotton. Lots of stuff emanates from this wire on my pre-burns -- stuff I probably don't want to be inhaling.

I use this wire for rebuilding the coil on my 100% Russian atomizer. For the price, this is a bargain. It's a 100' roll that should last a LONG time. Since the roll is so big, I sometimes rebuild my coil just because. I use a toothpick and usually do a 7/8 wrap. That puts the resistance on my coil at around 1.0-1.2 ohms. I use a cotton wick with this wire and it's the most consistent vape I've had in my 4 years of vaping.
