Q Connect Large Stamp Pad Metal Case - Green

I do like these ink pads. They're the old-fashioned felt block kind, rather than the modern soft foam type, which really only work with silicon stamps, and even then require a lot more concentration when loading the stamp up to avoid pressing too hard and causing flooding on the stamp. These are firm enough that this isn't a problem at all, so I'm very happy with that. HOWEVER... as many other reviewers have pointed out, the box that the stamp pad comes in has a loose lid, with no way to make it feel airtight, and thus protect the ink from drying out. This is the same across the Q-connect line, whether metal or plastic boxes. It means you end up having to keep each pad in a plastic resealable bag, which is a bit of a faff, and thus I knocked one star off.

I bought it for a neighbour as he has to stamp his pigeons every year with identification for who they belong too and his stamp was running out of ink

Ok. First one arrived and ink was leaking out through the envelope, a replacement was sent, not such a good fitting tin as its metal and not as good a quality as another leading brand.

Great product. Handy size for those larger stamps.

Lovely colour, bit concerned that the tin doesn't close tight - hope the ink doesn't dry out
