Good Insight On Moor Past to Present
I didn't know what to expect from this book. Basically I was searching for more evidences about Moors of ancient times before Hannibal. But I got more than what I was looking for. This is a great book for the history of the Moors, and them in America. Also info. on Noble Drew Ali. The one thing that interests me the most was the doctrines in which Noble Ali taught and how they were compiled, as told by the author. He states that Noble Drew Ali used alot of holy sacred books and writings along with the bible & qu'ran. In which I think what makes Noble Drew Ali truly a prophet! To know and understand the teaching within these books and see the commoness teaching that needed to be applied to us. But there has been some more doctrines discovered since Noble Drew Ali departure. Are these doctrines also absorbed into the MSTA? Maybe, perhaps! Alot of tombs been found in Khamet since the time of Noble Drew Ali, are these documents been absorbed into MSTA? The book state that Noble Ali was a student of the Mysteries Science of Khamet(adept). In which I have to believe after read his works throughtout the book. I wondered why take the ways and religions of our former conquers to legitimizes our hertiage within the borders of the present ones? What is that? Conquers comparing notes about us? When in Khamet was everything that is needed for us now has been there? Reason, the author goes very briefly into how Africans Moors weren't practicing Islam until the invasion of the Arabs under one of Mohmet relatives. Now this happen during the fall of Roma! Dr. John Henrik Clarke made a great comment about this time in his t.v. special narrated by Wesley Snipes. "That Africans during the Roman era was under the foot of Roma as the rest of the world. When the rise of Islam came from the Arabs of Persia. We Africans were looking for ANY WAY to get these Romans off our backs. So we Africans adopted Islam because these Arabs were fighting the Romans and winning! And we African excepted this new way of religion because it was against our Romans oppressors. But that only gave way for another oppressor to take their place. In which was indeed the Arabs muslims or Islam" Now Dr. Clarke basically shown historical and truthful facts why we as Africans turned to Islam. As a strategy! Not a life long practice! We were in turmoil with Rome. And we did what was necessary to help end that era. And we did! After that was accomplished we should have drop their ways and practices and went back to ATR (African Tradional Religions). Now I know many African people infused their certain ATR within Islamism. And that I can handle but this wasn't done across the board in Africa. Islam has had a very violent past and begining. Dr. Yusef Ben Jochanan states that a religion or culture is only for the ones who its manifested with! Islam laws and ways were for a certain type of people. As the author states that one of Mohmets first follower was an African slave! Name Bilal, I believe, now did Bilal show respect to Islam because he was a slave? Or did he show respect because he already had this wisdom from Africa? And probley surprised that these Arabs are just finding out? Is this type of history Africans Glory? We changed for what better? What was so different in Islam from ATR? What concepts were so extraordinary? This is what this book didn't give me! It didn't tell me what was so special about Islam in Africa that wasn't seen before? And being practiced at the time of Mohmet? Now as far as masonary goes with all this its clear to me why its best to know the ways of Islam. Because alot of their sacred wisdom comes from Islam. Cool! But that good for the ones who don't know NOTHING about ATR's! And I would have to say that Islam is the purest wisdom of man outside of ATR. So I believe if you looking for a short cut to absolute wisdom and knowledge of self. That would be your best bet! But its not the goal you reach at the end of the journey, its the ride you take to it that means the most. If your journey is detailed and good, your goal will be understood moreand greater! All and all a excellent book on Africans legacy and another peeble of the mountain of what Africans have done for all mankind. Noble Ali is definitly needs to be re-introduced to the masses of Africans in america and Americans. For he is truly an America Hero!

Interesting Read
Despite not knowing anything about Moorish culture in America, Africa, or Spain, I purchased this book. As a reader of diverse genres, I have gained insight into African spiritualism and continue to be fascinated by ancient wisdom. As a result of the many typos, grammatical and spelling errors I found, I rated this book with 3 stars. Whenever I read a book, I get into a flow. However, that flow would be disrupted when I had to backtrack and collect my thoughts in order to make them (thoughts) understandable. For example, the author wrote: "He (Christopher Columbus) also logged that remnants of other mosques were found in Cuba, Mexico, Texas and Nevada," (Moore, 2005). The statement focused on Columbus' arrival in the Americas in 1492. In 1492, Cuba, Mexico, Texas, and Nevada did not exist. This should have been written: "...in what was now Cuba, Mexico, Texas, and Nevada."A number of times, Keith Moore 32° claimed that Christianity enslaved black minds. All the while, the author quoted countless verses from the Christian Bible? I was puzzled by that observation? There was a contradiction in the author's writing.Moore (2005) argued that dependency on God was replaced by dependence on an employer, a paycheck, government, insurance companies, husbands, wives, preachers, and leaders...." People in America would have an employer and a paycheck. Companies such as insurance would play an important role in everyday life, and they were unrelated to the culture and religion of the Moors.I finished this book within two days and found it to be a quick read.It was impossible for me to verify the accuracy of the information in the book due to my lack of knowledge about the Moors. If a reader had some familiarity with the Moors, I would recommend the book.

Well researched history on race!
Surprisingly this book is very little about a specific religious belief but rather truthfully connects the dots between all major religions. While displaying the true history of the black race it doesn't demonize subsequent races. Very interesting short read!

Interesting read
I learned a lot about the origins of the Moorish Science Temple of America and I even learned that the honorable Elijah Muhammad came out of that school of thought.
