Fantastic
Well made cooker and pot. The pot is a solid cast iron with a pre-cure on it similar to Lodge cast iron. I heated it up and rubbed it with mineral oil (Pam works too)and it has a nice coat on it.King Kooker's customer service is spectacular. The cooker's lid arrived damaged (why they pack aluminum lid with a monster cast pot I don't get) but Crystal in customer service took down my info and had another lid on its way ASAP!The burner also fits my wok, which is a plus. However, the "17.5" inch diameter will not accommodate a 17.5" flat bottomed pot due to the angled supports to the wind guard (wok and cast iron pot are curved.) A 13" diameter flat bottomed pot could fit in the burner.Heats well and holds temps. well. I make my roux on a smaller pot on the stove and then add it to the big pot for gumbo, to control heat (not burn) better. In summary, it is a solid pot that will last generations and a burner that works as intended.5 stars for the product, 3 for the packaging.

Oh Boy!
Just received my pot and cooker yesterday and am already in agreement with Napan's review of Jan 15. Both are well made and very robust. I'll be using lard to further season the pot(personal preference), but will have to wait for the weather to cooperate (blizzard). My lid was also mangled, but Dottie at Customer Service already has a new lid on the way. No questions asked (except my address, of course)! I did send them some pics via E-mail, so perhaps they will rethink their packaging. Was glad to see it came with the high pressure cast burner instead of the somewhat finicky low pressure banjo style ones.I have two 22" Discada's (woks I made from actual plow disks) that sit rock steady on the burner.Already anticipating a big batch of Brunswick Stew for family and neighbors, as well as a big WOW factor among the crockpots and slow roasters at several Chili Cookoffs I participate in. And no more scorching like I had with the thin stainless pot I had been using. Two stars for the packaging.

Great for large batch cooking
This thing has been a fantastic tool for all the cooking I do for 60 - 90 people. Not just for jambalaya, I've used it for all kinds of meals.-Chili-Deep Frying (Corn dogs and beignets)-Jambalaya (search online for the jambalaya calculator)-Carnitas-Breakfast Gravy-Steaming corn on the cob-PastaThis has been so much easier to cook with. Easy to clean, few parts to keep track of, and a ton of fun for the people you're cooking for. You don't see much of these things being used in California.

Exceptional purchase
We used this when we butchered a pig. We were very happy with the pre-seasoning of the pot. the burner put out a very hot fire. We read all the reviews before we purchased and checked several products and prices. We think we got the best deal and we are very happy with product performance.

So far it's been awesome. It supplements our 20 gallon cast iron pot ...
I purchased this to use for events and our chili cook-offs. So far it's been awesome. It supplements our 20 gallon cast iron pot at cook-offs and when a smaller batch is needed. I would be happier with it if the burner were a banjo burner, but the burner that comes with it works well.

Common Core Math
I ordered a 10 gallon pot. I received a 5. I asked what the fro, and they sent me another 5, because common core math apparently. Nothing wrong with with pot; I just want what I ordered and that was a 10 gallon pot.

Excellent cooker
Can't honestly give this enough stars. Well worth the money. They need to improve on packaging the lid as mine came bent up like others had commented. But it was still useable. Stand is very stable and burner really puts out the heat.

King Kooker Purchase and usage reveiw
I have other larger cast iron cookers, but this one works really well. It arrived on time which was a plus, i was required to assemble it which I did not know up front but thats ok. It allows me to ship it to other events in one box alot better than the stands which are welded together and are hard to re ship. I like this feature. the lid was bent like the other review that I read so I expected this. They really need to figure this shipping issue out as its a negitive. now for the actual use of the cooker. It cooked a 10 lb jambalaya really well. Actually perfect. The burner was much smaller than my other ones, but it really worked very well. No problems at all. Over all this cooker is a great cooker. As I have four other much larger ones, this one is perfect for the person who only needs a 10 gallon compacity. Lighter, more convienent to use. I also cooked a large portion of seafood gumbo and it worked just perfect. Great purchase. I give the pot and burner a five star, but since the lid was bent when i recieved it I can only give it a three star. I had to purchase another lid in order to use it for the rice cooking part.
