Strong ball
I love this thing, I actually bought 2. I think they are a good price for what you're getting. Just have to keep them coated in grease to keep them from rusting, also helps them last longer. Great product!

High capacity ball for heavy trailering
Works as it should, just either keep it inside when not being used, or keep a thin layer of grease/oil on it if you leave it on your truck, it is raw steel and will rust if you don't. I've had several that were chrome plated, and eventually the chrome starts peeling off. That's why I chose this ball. Nice machined finish, looks great.

This would be five star, except that it rusted up right away. Be nicer if it had a chrome plating on it.

What was needed.
I've been using the 1" rise Curt raw steel ball to tow and level a boat trailer. As stated by others the raw steel balls rust quickly so I threw on some paint. I hated to cover up the beautiful finish of the raw steel but not able to remove after every tow. If you want a work horse, this is it. If you want "purdy" look elsewhere.
