*Update* The fan and the dimmer didn't function properly even with the new dimmer switch. We put in on a regular light switch and it is now working perfectly. However, now we are unable to use the dimmer functionality. This isnt a big deal to us so we still like the fan. This may cause some issues for some buyers that aren't very electric savy.****I purchased this ceiling fan for my husband's small home office. He set it up in about an hour and said it was the easiest fan to set up. We liked the modern and compact look and it functions just as well. The light is bright and the fan is very quiet but powerful. We did need to upgrade our dimmer switch to be compatible with the ceiling fan. We also like more of an amber glow so we used our own bulbs. Overall, a great update for our office.

This is a Hunter fan, which I find to be generally of high quality overall. The fans span is very small compared to most others, but it moves aire very well and the included LED lights are very bright! I installed an existing Harbor Breeze fan remote and controller I already had from the old fan, and it works perfectly. It has 3 fan speeds, and the LED bulbs were included, and works perfectly with the Harbor Breeze dimmer remote I installed. It was also under $100. on Amazon- (Home-depot lists it for about $20-30 more!) The last fan I replaced had 5 blades, but in my opinion, I do not notice a big difference in the fans cooling; I was worried having 3 very short/stubby fan blades would decrease it's coloing ability, but I am really shocked as to how well it works. It does look a bit "stubby" compared to my other, much larger fans, but I do find it attractive. My favorite surprise was how bright the lights are. My last fan had two bulds as well, but it used weird "candlelabra" bulbs, and gave off very little light. I found it very annoying. It also is much more "green" than my old fan, so I will liley recoup my investment quickly if I upgrade a copule of other older type fans.I like this fan so much I may replace my office fan with this, and maybe my master bedroom. I installed it myself, (I do admit I'm very handy- (Contact an electrician if you have any doubts). The instructions were well written. Though I definitely recommend installing the blades onto the motor unit BEFORE you hang it... It would be far more difficult to do this step it after it's hung, like the manual instructed. It appears to be balanced already, so I did not need the included balancing kit, and it's pretty quiet when on low or high. A little bit noisy on medium fan setting for some reason, but nothing I'm concerned about. It does not include a remore dimmer/light switch, but you can pick up a Hunter or Harbor Breeze brand prety cheap online. Definitely worth getting a dimmer, as it is very bright. Came with too downrods which is fine for most ceilings bit you may need to buy a longer one if you have a ceiling with a strong pitch/slope.

The media could not be loaded. These little fans work great, they can really rotate and circulate some air. We have two in our kitchen and one in our hallway and it helps keep the air moving and the rooms cool. They, in my opinion, are pretty quiet, but they do make a some noise/humm, especially when set on the highest spin. They have a low profile hang. The glass is a nice smooth frosted finish. They put off a good amount of light. I can’t speak for ease of installation since someone else installed it for us. The pull strings don’t pull very smoothly and are a bit noisy when pulling, which is the biggest flaw for me.** revised: actually the pull chains are fine. There is a small plastic piece they come out of that are angled, and I had the bigger angle facing down instead of up. Photo attached for reference, how it should be. Just leaving this tidbit here for those who also seem to have the same pull chain “issue”***^ Very sleek, good looking fans. Wonderful quality. Totally recommend. I’ve posted a video so you can hear/see how the chains pull and the high/medium/low settings.

The packaging and instructions were great and easy to follow! You definitely need 2 people to install this unless you've got a secret extra arm... Shut off the breaker to the room you're installing the fan so make sure you have set up another source of light first so you can see what you're doing. Have a good ladder and, ideally 2 ladders so your helper can be up there with you.The fan is nice in many ways. First, the blades have a light wood pattern on one side and plain white on the other. It was nice to have the option to choose the look we wanted. Second, there are two different sizes down poles so you can choose how low you want the fan to hang. We have a low ceiling where our fan is so we used the shorter one so it's closer to the ceiling. Third, the fan comes with the 2 bulbs intended to be used which is just a nice touch. They're bright LED bulbs. We don't have a remote and that wasn't important to us. The pull chains actually have an icon to identify which is the fan and which is the light. How many times did I pull the wrong one on other fans? Such a simple design and it really is a nice touch!The fan makes a little noise when on a high speed but no more than most others we've heard. It's not an issue. Don't use a dimmer switch to turn on the power for the fan, use a regular on/off no dimmer. Especially if you're wiring in an old house like we did. The dimmer switch even when all the way up interfered with the operation of the whole thing. Once installed this is a really sweet little fan that cools the whole room. It also makes the air conditioning more efficient so that's a money saver right there. Great fan, a very nice look to it, two blade color options that you can choose, and really good installation instructions. We are really pleased with this purchase!
