Travel Kuppe TK Vase Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Push Button Opening - Keeps Hot & Cold Beverages Up to 48 Hours

 I go through a LOT of water bottles! My favorite of all time recently got lost and Contigo no longer sells it (SAD!) so I was in the market for a new one. I knew I wanted one that had the push button to sip function with no straw (I HATE water bottles with straws). This one looks pretty cool so I gave it a go. I really like it so far! Here's what I love:- SUPERB VACUUM INSULATION: This cup does an AMAZING job at maintaining the temperature of your beverage for HOURS! Like, it's kinda creepy how well it works. I have a long commute to work and prepare an instant breakfast drink to take with me on the drive every day. Usually within 10 minutes of my drive, the drink has warmed significantly in my cheap plastic travel mugs, but not in this one! My drink stays cold the whole way!- DESIGN: I really like the design of this cup. In addition to the vacuum insulation, the cup is super sleek and sexy looking! The size is good and I really love the spout! The multiple holes lined up next to each other provide a really nice steady flow without being overwhelming. The action of the push button is really nice. It makes a very clear and satisfying click when you pop the lid open and closed, which is great so you can feel confident that it's secure. This is a big deal for me because I often throw it in my purse or a backpack or in the back seat of my car and don't want to deal with leaking or spilling. I really love the design of the lid for sipping. I am a singer and often take this to rehearsals and performances where I'm wearing lipstick that I don't want to get all over the mouth of a water bottle. This design makes it easy to drink from without having to put my lips all over it. And even if I did, the matte black color doesn't show gross lip stains the way my white lid bottle used to. Also, unlike other water bottles, the neck is large enough to fit full size ice cubes in it!-DOESN'T LEAK OR SPILL: When the lid is locked, this thing does NOT leak! That is a HUGE deal. See my video for demonstration.I do have a few complaints about this cup (which I use mostly as a water bottle):- It isn't easy to tell if it's open or closed just by glancing at it. This is a big bummer. I have devised a little scheme to remember which lid position means open and closed. "High and tight" (if the lid is up, the bottle is sealed) and "Down and out" (if the lid is down, it's open). That is simple enough, but again, it isn't always easy to tell from a glance (at least in the early days with this cup) whether the lid is up or down. I think this could be designed better. All it would take is a little mark or something that shows when the lid is down vs up to indicate the position. I had one incident early on where I thought it was closed and threw it in my purse and it was actually open. Fortunately the bottle was pretty much empty, but the remaining drops did leak all over my purse. Just be careful early one when you're learning the cup.- It is a tight fit in my car's cup holder. It does stay put, but it's just a little too wide to fit all the way down inside.- It's very noisy if it tips over on a tile floor or bumps into things. The stainless steel exterior and vacuum insulated interior make for a very noisy bottle. This isn't a huge deal, but I take it to rehearsals and performances and set it on the floor next to my chair. Setting it back on a hard floor can be noisy if not done carefully and if I accidentally knock it over it definitely makes a racket. This is not a deal breaker by any means but is something to be aware of.- While the description says it is dish washer friendly, the instructions that come with the cup tell you absolutely not to put it in the dishwasher. This is misleading and a major bummer as I hate not being able to put things in the dishwasher. It's easy to hand wash, but still. I might have made a different choice had I known.- I was hoping it would be lighter and less bulky than the glass bottle I've been using, but you can see by my comparison pictures that it's pretty big and heavier than glass. Something to be aware of if you plan to travel with it/carry it in a bag, suitcase or backpack.- Last but not least, this cup isn't the easiest to hold as water bottles and cups go. It has a pretty slick finish and nothing to really grab it by. They went with sleek and sexy in the design rather than functions, which is fine. I didn't deduct a star or anything like that, but be aware that it isn't the easiest bottle to pull in and out of bags or to hold, especially for people with small hands.For the most part I really love it! I think I will get a different bottle for hiking and travel, but this is an excellent cup for coffee, breakfast drinks, car commutes and fancy occasions. I hope this helps! This is a unique drinking vessel if used correctly. As stated by other customers it works by pushing down on the top to open and pushing again to close. The thing to watch out for is that after taking a drink and closing the top a couple of drops of liquid will remain in the part between the Vacuum Flask and the part your mouth goes on so if you intend to throw this in your bag, purse, backpack or whatever you should take another swig after closing just to catch the residual drops of liquid. If you do this it is completely leak proof after.Apart from that one caveat I really love this TK Vase Travel Kuppe. I've only used it for water so far and not really tested out how long it keeps water cold as I drink it fairly quickly after filling, but the outer texture feels nice in the hand not slippy or wet. There is never any condensation due to the Vacuum Insulation.It comes in a decent box with the name on it but as of April 2017 there is no paper work included such as care instructions or warranty.I've been in contact with the supplier to ask about this and was told that they haven't included any to keep the production cost's down but that they stand by their products 100% and will replace any defective parts if needed.Nice to know you can always contact support and get a quick and friendly reply.I would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique and stylish travel bottle, it's a shame they don't come in other colors.

Excellent quality. Super strong design. I love the textured coating that keeps the bottle from slipping out of my hand. There was no insert to indicate the best way to clean it, or if it is dishwasher safe, but I suggest hand washing because of the outside coating and O-rings in the cap. The bottle is supposed to hold 20 ounces, but I think it holds more. Keeps my drink cold and keeps ice over 48 hours, probably longer. The best part is the push button design. Push down to open, push again to pop up closed. This one-handed operation is perfect for when driving!

This item is large. It's almost as tall as a wine bottle. It is way too heavy for me to take to the gym once filled with water. Purchased this because the question was answered by the manufacturer saying it was dishwasher safe, but then upon purchasing you get an email saying that it is not.Pros:- Keeps water cold, will still be cool after 12 hours (not cold)- Nice looking design- Textured finish feels niceCons:- once you drink and then close, a decent amount of water is trapped in the top and will spill out once the bottle is inverted- it's not immediately obvious whether it is open or closed and I end up leaving it open and my water gets warm (this may be a problem only for me)- NOT DISHWASHER SAFE and very dark in color, so no way to be sure mold is not growing in then top.- closing mechanism seems to be failing after only a month of very light usage; it clicks once and then after a delay it clicks again to complete the open or close.- too big & heavy for me personally but if you are planning to keep it on a desk all day, this would be perfect.

I bought this travel cup for my teacher hubby because he needed something that would keep his drinks hot or cold for several hours at a time. He also needed something that wasn't apt to spill because he has little kids climbing all over the classroom all day. :) Glad to say this cup totally does the trick! He's used it for both coffee and water and it kept the temperature for 6 hours! It would've kept it longer but he was done for the day so he poured it out. Highly recommend!
