Dura-Pro Plus Golf Mat 5’ x 4’
So far, I’ve used it a couple times, hitting about 100 balls each. Initial thoughts are that this is a good quality mat. Good cushioning for iron strikes. Very firm feel compared to range mats on the driving range, but not bad. The tray is not bad, just don’t step on it. The rubber tees were a nice extra. The balls....well they were free! I don’t think there are other mats of this quality for this price point. I’d buy again, but it’s gonna be awhile. I have a feeling this is going to last. Oh, shipping was also several days faster than advertised. 👍🏽2 Year Review(Almost): 10/2020Still in good hitting shape. I’ve hit on this mat thousands of balls. I rotate the mat every now and then and helps with wear. This is kept in my garage so I’ve had no issues of cracking or tears as other reviewer picture showed. The picture with the strike mat is the 2-year wear shot. You can tell where the thin spots are, but it still works great. The rubber cushion is still comfortable and has not cracked or become brittle. So, long term review.....durable and worth the price.6yr Review 9/2024It’s held up pretty well, but it’s getting pretty thin now. Time to replace. I can’t say anything bad about the durability. Constant use, especially during the off season. I’ve upgraded to a hitting screen and getting a simulator soon. So, getting a new Dura-Pro Plus mat as well!! Great product!!

Great product. Great value.
I went with the octagon shaped mat for ease of rotating the hitting area. After about 2 weeks of about an average of 50 irons/wedges a day, this mat has held up great! Not a scratch actually.. I've also gone directly into the mat heavy a few times and the thickness/cushion of the mat has probably saved me from some pain. Great value for the money! Would 100% recommend this product as it's cheaper than its competitors (premium hitting mats), as well as arguably better to hit on.And if you're considering a lesser quality mat for cheaper, I would recommend spending a bit more to get something quality like this, rather than risk hurting yourself on an occasional bad shot.

Makes practice a breeze - Now if that would only translate to the course
Have only had the mat about a week, so will update this review in the future. Initial impression is very favorable. I'm 6ft tall, and this mat is large enough for me to stand on with room to spare, and also large enough to allow me to move the ball around so I'm not whacking the same spot over and over (which should aid longevity). Occasionally, I'll hit well behind the ball with a heavy stroke (accidentally of course), and so far, the surface has not been compromised. The ball tray that came with it works very well, and doesn't move when I hit balls off the mat. I am also enjoying the tee holder that holds a regular tee, allowing me to hit driver at the height I like to tee the ball rather than adjusting to the rubber tee height. Every couple of days, I rotate the mat 180 degrees so I'm hitting balls off the other side. This should also aid in longevity. The mat is nice and heavy, and took almost no time to completely flatten after being unrolled. I have it on a cement floor in the basement, and when I do hit behind the ball, the vibration is minimal, and hasn't bothered my wrists at all.

Great mat, but I had to make some adjustments to keep it from sliding.
UPDATE: After 6 months of use the mat is still going strong but I have discovered a major flaw and dropping one star. It is impossible to hit a driver with the way the tee is positioned directly in the center of the mat! If you try to take your normal driver stance, you will have your trail foot off the edge of the mat. The tees should be placed near the corners in addition to the center to allow for a forward placement of the ball when hitting a driver. It's an easy fix, you have to drill the holes manually, but poor design IMHO.I hit this mat several times a week, several dozen balls at a time, so far I can't tell the spot I mainly strike my irons on, so great quality mat. I use the mat on top of square puzzle mats to help absorb vibrations and prevent damage to my wrists. The problem is it slides from the constant torque forces of the swing. To fix this I drilled two holes in each corner and used zip ties to go through and around the puzzle mat underneath. Problem solved, golf mat is now anchored and doesn't budge. Note that for this to work, you need a sizeable puzzle mat area, larger than the golf mat, otherwise the puzzle mat will slide along with golf mat.

I love this mat!
Just returned a competitor's mat because it came folded with a big crease down the middle that didn't go away. The other mat also left that golf mat "gunk" on the bottom of the clubs. None of those issues at all with this DURA-PRO mat! Came rolled up and laid flat almost immediately. Brushed the mat with irons and fairway woods several times and no residual on the bottom of the club whatsoever. An expected plus is all 8 pre-cut holes come fully "plugged". Each plug is a full cross-section of the mat that stays in place when moving the mat around. You just easily pull out a plug for a hole you want to use for a tee (I save the plug in the bag the ball holder came with along with the extra tees). Makes the whole mat look clean and plush. The size is just right. Plenty of room for a full driver swing. Across from straight edge to straight edge it measures 58 1/2 inches and across from point to point 63 inches. If I'm using a pre-cut hole to tee up for a driver swing, I'll feel like my right foot is starting to fall off the edge if my alignment is parallel to the edge with the tee in it. No problem, I just shift my alignment to the right and there is more than enough room for both feet. I like this because it keeps the mat from being bigger and more intrusive than it needs to be (very well thought out).Mat isn't cheap, but in this case, I'll say you get what you pay for. I can't give an informed opinion on longevity as I just got it today, but based on the eye and feel test it looks very durable (no gunk on club bottoms) and I have no doubt about the great durability feedback in other reviews. Great mat that you won't regret purchasing.

Not as shown
On foam not rubber. Light weight (bad). The picture used for this mat are from another website representing a different mat. Feel cheated. Worth about $100 not $500. Will return if they let me.
