i love this camera.
The product comes superbly packed with everything you could possibly need to install it in your car.The standard of manufacture appears to be excellent and it does exactly what it says on the box.The included user guide is written in good English but a more comprehensive[full] guide is available on the internet. This i would advise you to download and read. The included firmware is from a previous model of camera and could lead you to believe you have the wrong device . That is not so and i would expect new software to be available in the near future.I am impressed with the quality of picture and have not seen better, looking at reviews on you tube.If any problems are encountered i can confirm the level of support is next to none and almost immediate responses are usual from the "dashcam forum whose contributors are technically based personnel and others from Street Guardian.I am not in anyway connected to Street Guardian but give my total recommendation to this camera.

Good picture quality. GPS slightly slow to operate when first switched on.
Purchased to replace a Hewlett Packard F800x, which lasted until the guarantee expired. Although this has the same resolution as the F800x the picture quality is noticeably better, especially at night. I initially had problems with the GPS receiver operating intermittently, until, having mounted it in the top nearside corner of the windscreen, I noticed that the windscreen heating elements passed over the top of the GPS receiver. Relocating the receiver six inches further down, clear of the heating elements, seems to have cured the problem, although it can still take several minutes before the GPS locks on to a satellite; something the F800x never had any problem with. The kit contains everything you would need to install the camera, including spare adhesive pads for the camera and GPS receiver mounting. I found it easy to route the cables around the headlining and behind the windscreen pillar trim. I connected mine directly into the fuse box, under the glove box (2011 Mondeo) by making up a cable with a cigar lighter socket and hiding it all behind the trim, next to the glove box. Instructions could be a bit more comprehensive but at least they appear to be written by someone with English as their first language.

Highly Recommended Quality Dash Cam
Excellent Camera. I was impressed with the inclusion of everything possible thing I needed to install this item, right down to a tools for removing headline and plastic trim; top marks for that. - Very easy to install. My only disappointment is that the Camera cannot take a card bigger than 64G, (according to the manual). But that should not stop anyone from buying this excellent device. To help with installation I purchased a hard wire kit - this one works nicely with this item https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00XHYSQAC/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Some small design hiccups
Pros: camera works excellent, video quality is superb in daylight, and ok by night. Package includes averything you may need as accessory.Cons: I've expected little better night quality for the price, and the cap of the second part of the holder (the cables holder) can not be locked in place, because of the ferrite ring on the usb cable, which is larger than the internal space of the mount. Also removing the cam is almost impossible as you have to remove cable cap, disconnect cables, detach cam if second part of the base is sticked very close.Even as my cons section looks bigger than the pros, camera is excellent choice. Every of my complaints may be fixed if cables were plugged somewhere in the base, not directly in the cam

Bought this one as reviews good & supposed to be reliable
It comes with everything you need in the box .You need good eye sight as screen is tiny when mounted on the window. Its a bit retro. Have another car, bought a different type as needed a different form factor to blend in as the Guardian does on my Subaru , It has a dot Matrix on the screen and only the lens shows below it. You wouldn't know it was there. However my three series is older, so chose a cylindrical style to fit under the mirror and rain sensor , all the adjustments on your phone has built in wi fi.Having said that the Guardian seems a better picture . and has a proven track record. wi fi or not if its doesn't capture what you want when you need it. its irrelevant. Hope this may help someone considering to purchase .

Unreliable
Camera turns on, starts recording. All good. You want to see last recorded videos? Nothing is there. Some basic verification to check if sd card works and is not corrupted (like writing a 1s movie and checking it is there) would be enough to make it more reliable. No indication of any error whatsoever. How many months were I driving thinking that I have videos available? Good luck to all other customers.

What a Dashcam should be
A small compact dashcam that is discrete when in place. While choosing a dashcam it felt like every one had a major downside except this. The long power lead allowed me to route it to the boot power adaptor. Similarly the external gps is attached to the dash. A small tool (included) allowed for easy concealment of the leads behind the ceiling lining. Starts with the car and video quality is excellent. Everything a dashcam should be.

Satisfied with a good product
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. To be honest: video quality is not as good as expected after looking at preview videos, but still quite good (I did not test yet night conditions, only during day). Otherwise it looks like a very good product, I was really surprised by very wide view angle. The support of big SD cards (128+) is also very big thing, so I'm quite satisfied. One thing remains unanswered: what is a real difference between this and something like VIOFO A119S? which looks almost the same.(Edit: video contains bad sound due to the fact that I needed to convert the MOV files generated by the camera to MP4 supported by Amazon, but somewhere between conversion there is a bug. Sorry about that.)
