This toy is super cute! I gave it to my 3 year old grandson for Christmas, his father who hunts wanted to know where his was, lol! My grandson has spent multiple days out in the yard calling all sorts of animals, I think right now he just likes all the different animals noises it makes. He's really having such a good time with it, and It seems to be of good quality. I know he's a little younger than the recommended age. But, it's easy to figure out & it isn't like he's really using it to hunt. So I'm glad we got it for him

My 3yo daughter went outside looking for fireflies every evening before bed with her grandpa. Now that it's towards the end of the season, she was sad that the fireflies are going away. We decided this would be a great birthday present for her and she absolutely loved it! She played with it for hours.That said, the batteries that come with this did not last long with her wanting to play with it nonstop. Definitely get a few extra packs of the button batteries that this toy uses if you think your kid is gonna wanna play this game over and over again!

I bought this for my grandson. He lives in the country, and has lots of turkey and deer. He is hoping to call them in. All the adults at Christmas wanted one. So this goes from a 4 yr old to a 75 yr old grandma.

We use this to catch lightning bugs and it works very well. It is pretty sturdy and seems to be well made. My child can easily turn the door to put more bugs in it and it is easy for him to carry. I would buy it again.

First of all, this was super cute, my little boy loved it when he first got it and he was sad to see it go when it finally ripped eight years later. It isn’t great for very small insects or spiders but it works great otherwise. And lasted us a long time and served two different kids. I guess little brother got the short end of the stick lol.

The grandkids, ages 6 and 4, enjoyed hiding and finding the fireflies. Their lights blink on and off, giving seekers a visual "Give a little whistle" hints. Any grandparents out there remember playing Hide-and-Go-Seek and asking aloud for the hider to give a whistle hint to help the seeker find them?The kids proved better at finding these than the grandparents, probably because 1. they can see better and 2. they can bend down and look under things more easily. We played two rounds with two teams of 4 and at the end the grandkids wanted to go outside to try it. LOL. That wasn't happening, as the wind chill hit 5 degrees, but we can't wait to try this in summer. It's a cute game that encourages getting up and moving and away from electronic screens.

My 2 grandsons love all animals. They are 4 and 7. Their birthdays are a week apart and we celebrated on vacation. They played with them while there! It kept them busy. Not too loud and very durable.

I love our Firefly game! It is fun and engaging and the kids would play over and over. They are 5 and 10. My only disappointment was that one of the fireflies would not stay lit. It was very finicky and even after replacing the batteries with new ones, it was very touchy. The light did not go on or off when I switched the power switch, rather it would randomly light or just stay off altogether. I will admit that I could have returned it and tried to get it replaced. I just don't have the time or ambition for that. Overall, a really fun game!

Bought as a gift for our daughter and is fun but the toggle is very cheaply made and slides to easily making it hard to get it on the animal you want

It was real fun for kids to use the kit, arrange the plants on the sheets, watch the sheet change color, then rinse it. We've got some very nice prints just like fine art specimens:)

The media could not be loaded.  We came across this game while on vacation at the cottage up North of Canada. Our 4-year old are the time and 12-months old were playing with it most of the day, and not in the way it was intended for. They were simply taking them out of jars and putting them in, counting them, pretend play with them, line them up etc. We played the game once with our daughter and it was fun.So with Xmass on our way I thought this would be a wonderful addition to our already growing game collection. Especially since girls are growing fast and now the younger will be able to play the game next year.As everyone mentioned in the reviews we also had battery problems. I took star off for that. I feel like for the price something should be addressed. It was NOT fun to unscrew all of the fireflies to wipe off tiny batters.2 worked, 1 needed completely new batteries, and rest simply needed to be cleaned and placed back. So much work!BUT they all work now and are ready to go.I intend to use them inside of the house and perhaps backyard during the summer. But I think it’s important to somewhat supervise kids if you don’t want the pieces to get lost. My kids are very respectful of their toys, but they are young, and I can see them hiding them somewhere and not remembering where the bugs went.Finger crossed that the game will last us years!
