There is some exceedingly fine work that deserves better exposure
A reasonable quality book though it adds very little to what is available in the guide book by Robin Llywelyn. Photography is blurred /over enlarged in places, though the thing that really grates is an inclusion of a chapter on Portmeirion pottery. This blatent promotional guff really doesn't belong here. What woulf have been preferred (in my view) is a chapter on the art and sculpture in the village (and their creators). There is some exceedingly fine work that deserves better exposure.

Beautiful
This is a gorgeous book, with stunning photos and illustrations. Hugely informative about the history and character of the village. A joy.

Portmerion
Well researched, well photographed, nicely put together. If you cant get to Portmerion this is a good substitute, but you may find yourself checking just how easy it is to get to Wales after all.
