Very sturdy and quiet no need to spend big bucks like others this is all you need

I originally ordered this product from another seller, then was notified of a problem with the seller. I paid more but didn’t have to worry about getting the product. Love this, it fits into a 12” wide iron pot for steaming and can be used for with other CampMaid products for outdoor grilling.

I purchased my CampMaid Flip Grill to go with the rest of the CampMaid Dutch Oven set I had received as a gift.This grill easily attaches to the lid lifter/stand and permits the charcoal holder to be attached so you have a nice grill for burgers or hot dogs at camp. If you place a dutch oven upside down over the grill, you can even do light smoking of foods to increase flavor. (Since the charcoal holder is also small, it would require a lot of babysitting to do anything like a pork shoulder due to the need to continual addition of charcoal briquettes and wood chips, but I bet we could make KILLER smoked shrimp appetizers on this!) It is small enough to be placed inside a 12" dutch oven, so can also be used as a steamer rack for a nice veggie side dish. Finally, I found it very sturdy and it worked very well as a trivet on the picnic table to keep our cast iron skillet from burning the table. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars is due to the fact that its smaller size means it cannot cook a large amount at once, but for portability and multi-purpose convenience, I would HIGHLY recommend adding this to your car camping gear. (Along with the rest of the CampMaid set)

This grill really completed the Campmaid / Dutch oven experience. It is super handy to have such a small potable bbq in my car for impromptu trips to the river with the kids

The grill & trivet really rounds out the Dutch Oven cooking system but the finishing wasn't as nice as expected. CampMaid recommends storing the trivet in the dutch oven when not it use. I ran my fingers along the edges and points and found a few burrs that would scratch through the seasoning when in use and in storage. It's noting that you can't knock off with a stone, file or emery cloth, but I would have expected a little better QC for it's intended use.

This is a great item, used on many occasions with the CampMaid. Great for grilling and easy to clean
