Knit PicksHawthorne Kettle Dye Fingering Weight Purple Sock Yarn (Turkish Delight)

At about 2/3 of completing a sock with this yarn, it totally fell apart. I couldn't see evidence of a joining. I have had to make a knot to secure the break. Knots in socks can be very uncomfortable. I called KnitPicks and they said it was not considered a defect in the yarn. It was very disappointing! I ordered two balls and am hoping that I don't run across another break in the yarn. Needless to say, I will not be ordering KnitPicks yarn again.

The yarn is gorgeous and true to the color on my screen. I’m giving it three stars because I ordered three skeins at the same time but received two different dye lots that are significantly different in color. I’m comfortable alternating skeins to hide the difference, but not everyone is and that wasn’t what I was expecting when I ordered.

Most sock weight yarns are 400+ yards per skein. This is significantly less (365). Just something to keep in mind if doing highly textured socks or a shawl that uses more yardage. The color is amazing and I love working with this yarn otherwise

Gosh, I love Knit Picks yarn. The value for the money can't be beat, and it's just as beautiful and soft as indie hand-dyed yarn. The Turkish Delight colorway is much more pink in person but that's not a problem. I didn't find the need to alternate skeins to prevent pooling either, which is a big plus. Three skeins made a size large summer weight tee.

The colors of this yarn are so beautiful! For some reason, I’d never cared about knitting anything in yellow, but this yarn quickly changed that! It immediately struck both my husband and myself as being breathtakingly lovely. The ombré shading is delicate and eye-pleasing. I haven’t used it yet; my yarn stash is forever growing, and I’m buying 2 or 3 skeins for every one I use 😉

This has been such a pleasure to work with. The shawl I'm making for my grandmother is coming out gorgeous. I've referred quite a few people to the yarn, because when they see me doing the project, they want to get it themselves. I'm even planning on getting some more to do another project for myself.

A little more than I wanted to pay for the project, but once I had it on the needles - no regrets! The colors are really great and it called for knotting double strand, which turned out to be very easy and beautiful with the slight variegation pf this yarn. Arrived in a timely manner after order, also. Completely pleased.

I love this yarn I purchased a total of 6 skeins for a tester shawl project. This was my first time purchasing this yarn and using fingering weight yarn and I was not disappointed. It was well worth the price and the colorways are vibrant and my shawl is beautiful! I highly recommend!
