RepashySoilent Green 6 Oz JAR

It does smell bad, but this is for the fish, not me. It's easy enough to make. It took a few feedings to get the crew on the Soilent Green band wagon, but they are clearly warming up to it. Because of its order, which is probably yummy to bottom fish, the shrimp and snails come out of the wood work for it. A couple of my Cory's and hillstream loaches really dig it, but a couple of others and my bristlenose seem to still favor the Hikari algae tabs. I really like the ingredient list and it makes for a decent middle ground between tabs/freeze dried food and fresh food. I think with time it will be a favorite food for the whole bottom dwelling troop. Even my Emperor and Costae Tetras like to get in on it periodically. It's close to being neutral buoyancy, so it can be hard to keep in place with higher flow. So far, it does not appear to cloud the water in my 90 gallon. It seems like the bottle will yield a decent amount of prepared food.

I saw Repashy Soilent Green recommended for otocinclus and none of my local fish stores carried it, so I purchased it from Amazon. It's very easy to make: just boil water add the powder, stir, let set, and cut into pieces and you can freeze batches. My neocaridina shrimp swarm for this food and the otos devour it. I drop a piece in for the otos and it's typically gone overnight. Thankfully it's mostly vegetable matter and lower protein compared to algae wafers, so my betta doesn't eat much of it.Great food for bottom feeders and grazers!! Gives me peace of mind that my otocinclus are getting enough food and nutrition in addition to their blanched vegetables.

The media could not be loaded.  I try to feed fresh veggies to these guys as much as possible, but when I run out, I like to offer something different. So I decided to try this and wow, it's popular! I read on a pleco page that a breeder mixes Soilent Green with Bottom Feeder and Spawn & Grow (all three by Repashy) and he has great success, so I may try that too, but for now this one is a hit!

Smells like wet dog food. I followed what the one buyer says she did with fish food. Boil water and mix 2 tablespoons of boiled water and 1 tablespoon of food and mix! Let it cool then refrigerate it. The next morning I took it out and chopped it in to tiny pieces. I looked at it thinking, "yeah ok, my fish are going to eat this!" *Sarcastically* My fish are pigs. They want to eat all the time and get greedy when food floats on top and guards it. Fish don't have stomachs. So I wanted to try this and not have them gulping air. I go to my first tank with 2 goldfish and they are getting excited knowing their pellets are coming. I take a tiny bit of the gel food and drop it in. Jack instantly gobbled it up and the fish stopped in his tracks! My other goldfish puzzle was more hesitant, but tried it. They instantly swam back to the top for more! They were grabbing it as it was sinking. Jack was instantly grabbing what I was dropping so I had to feed puzzle separately. The food instantly sank. I went to my second tank with my White Goldfish named Polar Ghost and the fish 🐟was going crazy waiting for its food. I gave some to Polar and it got it instantly and same reaction. The fish stopped in its tracks. The pellets are probably like McDonald's and I just gave them a gourmet meal! I was pleasantly surprised when they ate it so easily. My goldfish then started racing around the tank, coming back for more! 5 stars!Update: my White Goldfish now won't eat the food. Keeps spitting it out. My tank gets smelly faster. My other 2 goldfish love it, sorry bumping it down to 4 stars

The media could not be loaded.  I’m not going to try to say that guppies are picky eaters or that they are difficult to keep happy, but this really seems to do the trick. I bought this as a food for an unexpected batch of baby plecostomi that appeared in my tank. They seem to like it too (they get the leftovers when the guppies wear themselves out) and are growing swiftly.The ingredient list is impressive, but I assume it really is just people.The food is easy to prepare - mix with hot water and … Actually, that’s it. It makes an easy to handle gel. Serve as is or pair with bloodworms for a lovely contrast in color and texture.In short, I like it. The fish do too.

My fancy goldfish do so well on this stuff. Yes, it smells bad when you make it. Yes, it smells kinda bad stored in the refrig, but the fish do so well on it. Repashy does make one for goldfish, but it takes more food to keep the fish at a healthy weight and this fouls the water faster (goldfish do tend to be messy fish). Compared to premium sinking pellet dry food the Soilent Green is far superior. Thanks Repashy!

The media could not be loaded.  Made a quick batch of 1/2 cup boiling water to 1/4 cup Repashy Soilent Green and poured it thinly on a rock. Once cooled, I put rock in front tank and the Pleco came In immediately to compete with the fish. The Repashy was gone in minutes! Great product for finicky Plecos!I Poured the remaining mixture into small 1/2 oz plastic taster cups and put in freezer for later cut up feedings. But, the rock method is the best!

海外では有名、日本で馴染みのある人は少ないだろうが、それでも爬虫類を飼育している人は一度は使ったことがあるんじゃないだろうか。利便性や嗜好性の高さから爬虫類系のショップではまず絶対置いてあるようなブランドである。さて本品の評価だが、魚種にもよるが嗜好性はそこまで高くない。恐らく成魚用のフードでタンパク質や脂質を抑えている為、魚にとってあまり魅力的ではないのだろう。しかし食べてくれるので魚の健康を考えればとにかく嗜好性だけ高いフードよりも良い。ゲル状で固まるのでソイルや砂利の間に入り込むことが少なく、溶け出すこともないので水を汚しにくい。浮遊性はないので上層のエサしか食べない魚やエサ取りが苦手な魚がいる場合は工夫が必要。逆に沈降性+ゲルを活かして流木などに塗ればコリやオトシンへの給餌もしやすい。我が家では魚とエビが仲良く食べてます。

I recommend the Repashy Soilent Green to anyone who has goldfish. Poor diet leads to bloated goldfish. This Repashy Soilent Green has helped my tank of goldfish to stay healthy without constipation issues.

youtubeなどを見ていると金さんたちがわき目も振らず食べていたので届くなりさっそく食べさせましたが、なんと目の前にあげても食いつかない。え？と思いましたが、ほっといたらじょじょに食べだしました。いまはすぐ食いつくのでよかったなと思います。投げ込みフィルタ－が詰まりやすくなるような気がします。
