Tourna Black Zone Polyester Tennis String

I have used this string off and on for a few years now. It's slick, has some pop, control is satisfactory and good durability. Use it mainly as a cross string in a hybrid setup. It comes in a variety of gauges and can usually be bought at $10.00 per set so that's a solid deal to me.

Everyone loves the way these feel. I've gone through 2 reels at this point and everyone has the same feedback. They are surprised by the response/feel they get from the strings and shocked by the comfort. They are a perfect fit in hybrid setups since they are a slick poly and slide well. The durability is amazing too. Overall great poly that offers great comfort for a great price.

Realizing this is a less expensive string it hold up well unless you are a really big hitter. Stringing the tension lower helps and is good for polys string in general (read up on it). I have purchased this string a few times with good results. Works well for me and my entire tennis team

Like it in a hybrid, especially as a cross string because it is very slippery. Recommended!

They have a lot of pop but good feel too.

Got ok spin, used them as a cross in a poly/poly hybrid and they started denting after only a few hours of hitting. This is the 17 gauge. They have a lot of pop but little spin compared to the shaped competitor strings I put in. Wouldn't buy them again.

Great string for price. Have a few big hitters use at 52 lbs and get plenty of pop and life out of string

The 17g cuts in to the ball a bit more than the 16g giving more spin and control. I also like the Black 7 by Tourna.

Excellent string. I have tried many poly strings and all the tourna strings. Tourna strings have a long break in period and the feel gets mushy very quickly. This one is low powered, soft and sitff/crisp feeling and the playability is consistent over time and over the racquet face. When the string dies, it dies by losing power all at once not gradually over time. Similar to the control and feel of elite strings like alu power. I put it as a cross to Luxilon alu power spin and the combo makes it softer, cheaper and the feeling less grabby.

The string itself so far is durable which is what I was looking for and what the string is promoting. Other than that not much different from other general polys. Decent power and spin. I would like it to have had more 'feel' to it. Decent string though, and cheap so that works for me.

J'aime beaucoup quoique que un peu trop élastique légèrement. Mais c'est juste mon avis. Et rien de grave. En général le contrôle est bien et la puissance aussi en plus d'un bon contrôle.
