I will need another one soon
I luv this book. It was a gift from my husband and I'm glad he purchased it. I have pages to record detailed of the plant & how to care for it. Pages for drawing my garden planning, pictures, to-do's by season, pressings and more. It's hard cover and very elegant.

Rich and Unique Garden Journal
I wanted to write this review to provide some details about the various sections included in this wonderful journal. The book starts off with diagrams and glossary info, followed by various plants names (common and scientific) so you can keep track of the specific plants in your collection. There's a section on pollinators and insects, as well as remedies for keeping your plants healthy. There's several blank pages with grids and space to draw, take notes, or create diagrams. There's a table to take notes about gardens that you have visited and gathered inspiration from, including suggested places to visit. In addition they're are blank checklist pages to keep track of ideas and to-do lists. Multiple pages with several to create your own actions guide to keep track of when to sew, plant, or harvest various plants. There are four sections, one for each season, to keep track of essential tasks for each season and mark them off as completed. There are several pages for entering specific plant information including name, water requirements, sun requirements, photos, characteristics, and notes - so you can have one page for each of the plants or flowers in your collection. There's also a section for recipes and pressing of cuttings. It's a very well designed and robust journal any garden enthusiast would enjoy populating.

Book looks good, delivery leaves something to be desired
So I ordered this as a gift for a relative. They didn't even wrap it in a bubble mailer. it arrived on my porch in its cardboard sleeve with stickers all over it. I can't get the stickers off without making it look even worse, and it already looks dirty and dented. The book inside is fine, which is what matters, but the way it was wrapped for the mail is hideous. I don't know what would have happened it if had been raining or snowing.

Very nice
I am impressed. This journal has a place for everything. It is very well made. It is just what I wanted. I have added pictures of each section and the spring one there are the same sections for each season. Hope they are helpful.

This does make a great gift.
Now this is ok, for the beginner gardener who wants to start off but will find that other simpler ways are better.

read review
I am reviewing this based on personal opinion. Opinions are something that everyone has and most are different and people will even get violent if they disagree with you. Just read because everyone spoke in glowing terms. After 2020, a lot of never before gardeners jumped in to gardening and in the last year with shortages, food lines and sky high prices a lot more jumped in. I agree that it is a beautiful book and would make a beautiful gift for a brand new garden. I know at least half of you are upset with me but that is my opinion. It is well crafted, beautiful and would seem like a very thoughtful gift. I have been gardening for almost 60 years and really wanted this to be a more garden journal that I could note lunar phases, planting times, freezes and such. I blank dollar store journal would work for what I wanted but thought this would be cool. As a gift it looks thoughtful, but purchased for myself and find it to be way overpriced for what it is.I actually wrote a date in it for planting on one page and thought about cutting that page out and returning but felt like I should have looked this garden planner over more carefully. For many it is great, just for me I want something I can take to my planting bench and make notes in so a local feed store give away almanac would work way better for me and will be doing that at the end of the year. I hope this helps some to get a better idea of this book and for the rest please remember I have no vendetta against this company or product, just an honest OPINION, an unpaid opinion. Great book for a newbie though.

Versatile Gardening Record
The book is well done. I would have liked for the ribbon bookmarks to be more like a ribbon and less like rough, durable paper, but even that isn't a big deal. I wanted a book that could stay with our house so even after we may one day move, the new owners could know what plants are here and their history. I specifically chose this one as I wanted to have several spots to draw out maps of our garden spaces with the locations of each plant. I do wish there were more pages dedicated to specific plants, and would suggest the publishers remove some of the idea/inspiration pages to make room for more individual plant records. One thing I noticed was that the idea/inspiration pages also list potential gardens people can visit. The locations seem to be based only in the UK, which lacks relevance for anyone living anywhere else. That's not a big deal, but it would be kind of neat if they'd include a more global picture of inspirational gardens. One reviewer cautioned to take care when including photos if you want to still be able to keep the book in its case. I took that under advisement and chose to print my photos on typing paper rather than photo paper. That enabled me to have photos for each plant without having the book become too thick to fit in the case. And it also enabled me to customize the size so that I still have room to add a photo of the plant when it matures. That will provide a neat history of this garden.I like the journal section and the good amount of space to draw. That is really conducive to being able to have separate sections to illustrate and record the various edible and medicinal beds we are putting in.The only thing I'd ask them to find a way to do somehow is to make this even larger so it could be a 5-10 year history of the garden. It's mostly designed to be a one year record that can serve as a reference. It's possible to tweak it to be a multi-year record, but it would be nice if they could formally factor that in to the design. It is still better than the 10 year one from Lee Valley simply because of the sheer amount of space it gives to map out your garden spots, and it gives better room to creatively journal with both words and illustrations as you tell the story of your garden.I would buy this again and will recommend it. But I'll do cartwheels if they redesign it with the above ideas incorporated.

Great journal book!!!
The book is great. I can now write down my garden journals, instructions in case I forget what I need to do, write down about vegetables/herbs.Take photos and insert photos in the book.I also have my family cookbook. They make great journal handbooks.I hope they will make another journal/handbooks for photography (camera) and digital arts (iPad) or arts (painting/drawing).
