The jet Provost was introduced in the late 1950S and quickly became the RAFβs premier jet basic trainer. The T3 model, introduced in 1959, featured an uprated engine and an improved canopy design, offering the side by side seated pilot and pupil a much improved view. The Provost was a joy to fly, forgiving and easy to learn on, with many of the 1960S and 70S RAF front line pilots learning their trade on its un-swept wings. Its reliability and strength also added to its suitability as a jet trainer and the addition of wing tip tanks on the T3 also added to its endurance. The T.4 a55116 introduced another upgrade to the engine but was otherwise unchanged from the T.3. Please note, box and a55116 dimensions are shown as identical however only represent the box/package size.

My First kit!
Great kit overall! the paint was very good barley needed anything thinning, the model fit together well with no visible flash on the parts. I will say the cockpit pieces were quite hard to fit on to the model and I wouldn't recommend doing it with poly cement as it fogged up with cockpit windows quite a bit but other than that it was a good overall experience would recomend!

Enjoyable
Easy build. The paints are perfect. Still had red paint left after two coats on model. These starter kits are great to start or rekindle childhood hobby. It does need weighting in nose if wheels out .I used blutak. The brush and glue make these great value for your next model.

Nice but fiddly.
Quite a nice model. Cockpit assembly and cockpit canopy assembly are tricky. Decals are very fiddly and require quite a bit of time and a lot of patience to apply. The finished model looks good;the red paint is very striking ,but I would not recommend it for first timers.

Great kit
Very detailed kit some small fiddly parts but good all round great for the semi beginner Remember add 2.5 grams of weight in the nose of the main body I used some small fishing lead shot just to get it to sit on all three wheels just a TIP

Nice productive gift
Lovely gift for a friend's son. I used to love these kits as a kid and they are a good way of passing time instead of watching YouTube.
