Love it
I bought this after seeing it in the drawer of Kenji Lopez-Alt of Serious Eats and America's Test Kitchen fame. In short, this is a small tray made from bamboo and cork, designed to keep knives upright in a drawer. If you like to keep a set of top-quality knives in your kitchen, and you're always pressed for counter space, you'll wonder how you lived without this organizer.Thin slabs of cork lay vertically at one end, which lets you easily slide knives into them to remain upright. There is also a cork mat on the bottom, meaning your knives won't dull or chip touching the bottom. The divider holds your knives upright and holds arbitrary sizes and lengths of knives, so even a 10" slicer fits easily. Any hight up the the height of your drawer goes in effortlessly. This lets you store your entire collection of "good" knives out of sight, but also in an easily searchable way.I have a set of razor-sharp Japanese knives that I keep separate from my wife. She's the type to leave soiled knives overnight, and who regularly puts sharp knives in the dishwasher. This dramatically reduces the life of a good blade, so I keep a knife block on the counter with less expensive knives that she can toss around. This tray lets me keep my good knives accessible but out of the way. Because they're standing vertically with the handles up, I can recognize my favorite knife at a glance. My shorter Japanese nakiri (tall, thin vegetable slicer, round handle) is instantly recognizable next to my protein slicer (a long, thin blade with round handle), next to my Western Chef's knife (traditional handle, tall knife). So I can grab my favorite knife almost by feel, at a moment's notice. It looks attractive in the drawer, it's useful, and it frees up counter space compared to a knife block. It's great. There is a larger version if you know you need more storage, or you can easily add a few trays side-by-side to get some modularity. Overall this is such a cool concept. I'm very happy with mine.

Perfect knife storage
I love this style of knife holder. So gentle on the blades and I can space the knives as I see fit. Looks neat and organized in the drawer as well. Thank you! Great design.

Nifty in drawer knife “block”
The media could not be loaded. Quality seems decent, the material is like a flexible cork. I like the colors and the slots fit all sizes of knives, I wish the little sections could be turned around somehow once there’s a little bit of damage on the edge. But the functionality is great!

Great Knife Storage
I have a tiny kitchen. Storing my knives on the counter in a knife block or a magnetic strip wasn't an option, so I needed something that would fit in a drawer. Enter the KNIFEdock. It fits perfectly in my kitchen drawer and keeps my knives from getting dinged or damaged. I love it. And should I ever move to a place with more counter space, I'll probably keep using it, because I love having my knives organized and out of sight. Highly recommend!

A Rare 5 Star Review
I very rarely give 5 star reviews, but this knife drawer organizer deserves it. Solidly built and elegant looking. Made order out of the chaos of my knife drawer. Fits in the silverware drawer perfectly and left room for the silverware organizer tray. Note that the thicker the handle, the fewer the knives that will fit.

great holder
I had one similar at a home previously and left it there when I moved away. I like having the knives in a drawer rather on the counter. I have about 4 larger knives and 3 smaller sized knives and they fit easily with space between.I recommend this product and it performs as described.

Flexible solution, good quality
I got this to free up some counter space and accommodate all of my knives in one place. The cork material seems like a more gentle material than bamboo or hardwood that other drawer holders use. I would also think it is less destructive to knife edges than magnetic wall strips or traditional knife blocks (I have used both). This is almost like a pillow for the blades. The flexible configuration is also nice. The series of cork strips at the end lets me put knives as far apart or close together as I need to (unlike a block with fixed slots). The number of knives it can hold is limited only by the width of the handles, not a number of slots. For a knife collection that has been acquired piece by piece rather than all in a set with a block included, this is a good universal solution.Regarding the length complaints from other reviewers, it is true that shorter knives don't reach all the way. My solution has been to place something under where the handles do reach in order to support them. This does leave the shorter knife handles up near the blades of the longer knives, but I don't really see this as a problem, since the edges of the longer blades are facing down and not dangerously positioned in any way when grabbing from above.. However, I would say that overall this is designed for knives with 7-inch or longer blades. As for some knives being too long and sticking over the edge, it would have to be a pretty long knife. However, there is some room to spare in my drawer, so if needed, the knife dock can slide in a little further to accommodate the overhang. I don't think this would be a problem unless somebody is using it in a drawer that is not long enough for the knife in the first place. I will also say that I am not sure how well this would work for wide-bladed knives like cleavers (I suppose it depends on how much clearance the drawer has), but for standard chef's knives and santoku knives, it's just right.
