Bought 2 of these. Recommended for Sophos Home Firewall
Installed 2 of these in 2 pci-e x1 slots, to give 4 ports. Cost effective, very pleased. Double check heat sink hasn't moved. Product and seller recommended. Work well in Sophos firewall, so should work on Linux generally

Very well made network card for PC
This is actualy my second H!fiber 1G network card - I have been using the first one for a year now and I am so happy with it that I bought another one. The construction, speed and stability are very good, I highly recommend it!

Simple to use and affordable.
Works well, product has done as I expected and gave me 2x extra ethernet ports allowing me to have hard wired Internet whilst using the spare sockets for controlling some audio hardware.

E1G42ET - DOA on one port
This is a very old, circa 2009, network card and whilst it is still very fit for purpose I'm not sure whether Intel are really manufacturing these anymore or whether this is a "copy" of the original. Either way this turned up with a dysfunctional port. Tried everything, changing the cable, loading drivers, wire shark, etc but it would not function. Returned for a refund and I will try an alternative supplier. For £37 this is not value for money.
