Revolutionary Portable Audio Technology Device with Headphone Amplifier (Black/Silver/Red)

This gadget is sort of an ambience recovery unit. It's effect is kind of hard to describe. You think your headphones are the finest available and that your tunes are exquisite, but then you switch in the Reveel and in a flash of comprehension night becomes day. Reveel is as better than stereo as stereo is over mono. That's what its like, as if you have been listening in mono and then suddenly the soundstage appears, you are on stage and the music swells up and surrounds you. It is a rush. I am saddened that I have spent so much of my previous life without this.Oh! And there is a modest power boost too! More headroom, no clipping.

I see many positive reviews and I Agree with them that this product does provide a larger sound environment. For those that are using headphones with above average quality, you'll hear a "hiss" when there are quiet passages. The audio circuits are noisy and not well shielded either. Place the Reveel close to a cellphone. When the cell wakes up and uses either WiFi or cellular data to fetch email, display a text message or other communication, you'll hear "static". It is intermittent and moving the phone away will stop the static.Bottom line is the Reveel does give you something that sounds more open and alive, but at the cost of extra noise and if you are trying to use it with a cellphone, you'll likely hear static from time to time.

This device will give you much better sound picture of the environment where the sound was recorded. If you are listening to the podcast you feel much closer to your host and can hear where he was located while the recording was done. Piano tracks sound amazing: you hear much more natural sound.Do not try to listen electronic music with this device - it will sound unnatural. Although if you like live music, jazz, folk, rock classics, then you'll start appreciating your music much more than before.

On the plus side - this amplifier does appear to help bring out the range of music. The music becomes a bit brighter and louder.On the downside - it does not work well with the iPhone with you use Match or store your music in the cloud. When the iPhone accesses the music, there is a great deal of interference that is generated, which is actually painful to listen to.Also, the inline controls for the iPhone headset ceases to function, e.g., volume up/down, skipping/starting songs, etc.

It does deliver what it claims. It's pretty good. I'll recommend to any audiophile with limited budget or something good on the go.

I was a bit sceptical before buying it but it really makes a big difference to the spaciousness of the sound. I'm actually using it as a hi-fi component between by DAC and amp and it works great. Loses one star because keeping the device's USB charging port connected to the computer produces quite a lot of noise - connecting it to a separate mains charger improves that a lot. I've just bought two more!

This could be called and ambiance effect or extra "headroom". You get something similar (but much less muted) with some headphones. My ATH-AD500's would be an example. But this device really improves, even these headphones!

I really liked what the reveel did for the music. Just opened up the sound and made it very realistic.
