These are pretty much universal in the domestic solar industry, but they look quite handy for other things. A cheap IP67 high power connector - what's not to like?What the description doesn't tell you is the maximum current and voltage. For a genuine connector (made by MC) this is currently 30A at 1000V, although earlier versions carried less than this. Being a compatible part, it's probably safer to assume 20A at 600V. If you're getting this off your solar panels you're doing well, so unless you have a very large array there's probably nothing to worry about.However, if you're using these as high current connectors then they're inadequate for hooking up a car battery to anything high current (e.g. an electric outboard motor). Pity!The other thing you've got to watch out with high voltage DC is arcing - you can't connect or disconnect these when working unless you want a fireworks show that'll damage the contacts. It's not like AC where the spark will self-extinguish when the voltage crosses zero.You need standard F-type crimping pliers to fit then (not the oval "Faston" red/blue/yellow automotive type). An F-crimp folds two "flaps" over the wire rather than a continuous ring - you know what I mean!But these are nice connectors anyway - ideal for battery charging, outdoor low voltage lighting or anywhere you need an IP67 banana plug.

I wrote a review saying I hadnt received these but they just turned up out of the blue months later. As it happens, I was not able to proceed with my solar installation due to the pandemic, so it didnt matter in the end. Connectors look like they are a decent quality, I need to order more, and if i could be sure I'd get them more swiftly i would order again from same seller.

Für meine 12V Solaranlage habe ich kurzfristig Verbinder zur Verlängerung der Leitung gesucht. Diese Connectoren kann ich weiterempfehlen. Achtung mehr als Aderquerschnitt 4 mm2 kann nicht genutz werden. Ich bin zufrieden mit dem Produkt.

Ich bin zufrieden. Vernünftiges Material. Musste nur erstmal herausbekommen, wie was zusammen gehört. Habs dann aber schnell herausbekommen. Ein kleines Bild dazu wäre aber vielleicht nicht schlecht.Ansonsten...funktioniert!
