Just add water. Batteries not included!
The hydra cell is the battery. Submerge in cold water, put it in the the Hydra Light Flashlight and you're good to go. Brilliant!

I am very disappointed
The replacement battery did not fit snug, so my hydra-light is a hydra-dark. I can't understand how the original battery only lasted a few hours. And now the replacement doesn't work at all. I wasted my money buying and then investing in this hydra-light product. It is Hydra-Dark in here, no light at all. Please, refund all monies paid. Bunk

Best way to waste money!!! (Next to buying the flashlight to start with....)
I am really impressed with the financial performance of this company. after producing a flashlight that produces nearly enough light to read the instructions that are not supplied. Oh Yeah! Fantastic! (No problem, just wait for power to come back on and check it out on the WWW).They must think they invented a money printing machine!And better yet, you only get about 4 uses out of the original flashlight, as it only comes with 2 fuel cells. nd in keeping with the American ideal situation, each single replacement cell will cost you only $5 more than a complete flashlight with 2 cells. PLUS they are usually slightly undersized (wonderfully lacking quality control) so they probably won't actually work at all. But after buying 3 or 4 of them you will realize this and simply buy another flashlight with 2 good fuel cells.And of course the old flashlight and all the used and/or never working fuel cells will help top off our nations already bursting landfills with what are probably toxic chemicals to leach back into the water and end up in our food. OH YEAH couldn't be better if Snidely Whiplash and Loki were in charge...
