Grovana Men's 1722-9537 Traditional Analog Display Swiss Quartz Black Watch

I can honestly say this is one of the best looking piece of rubbish I've ever had the displeasure to come in contact with. I bought one on sale at £173 with a list price of £475 thinking that was a pretty good deal. Well from the outset the Chrono buttons needed so much pressure to activate they left imprints in my fingers, however they weren't functions I intended to use regularly so it didn't bother me too much. Another annoyance is that the large Chrono hand has a tendency to move around under normal use, i.e. it doesn't stay centered. The date movement feels clunky and cheap when adjusting it; the crown is not of the screw-down type. However, none of these things really stopped me wanting the watch at the price I paid, as it looked good and told the correct time (I'd say those were pretty essential attributes of a watch!).However, this situation was short lived: After only 2 months it just stopped working, now this could have been the battery but even so, I'd expect more that 2 months use from a new watch so sent it back; the subsequent replacement lasted a further 3 months before, while adjusting it the crown pulled clean away from the watch; a further replacement was provided which only worked for a few minutes (although during this time the Chrono functions would not work) and ultimately the watch stopped working altogether. I therefore sent both these replacements back for a full refund.I'd certainly not recommend this watch nor any other that uses the Ronda 8040.D movement as this seems to be the common factor in all these failures.However, I have to say that Amazon have been absolutely brilliant throughout and have not quibbled about the replacements or the eventual refund. They've proven themselves to be a real quality retailer with excellent customer service.
